"It was a great disappointment in a terrible neighborhood. Very sparse accommodations felt more like an army Barrrick than a hotel. Should not have been on your website filthy Neighbourhood. Unsavory people always hanging around. Very disappointed in Hotels.com for having this on their website."

"The hotel is ok - nice palazzo - and staff nice, but the surrounding area is very dirty. It also includes streets with prostitutes, and feels somewhat unsafe. We had to switch rooms upon our arrival as the first room we were given looked quite bad- it clearly had not been renovated for numerous years."

"Excelsior Hotel's historic past and fabulous corner location makes it a wonderful place to enjoy the heart of Naples. The rooms are beautifully renovated, some with a tiny balcony overlooking the bay of Naples, are lovely. The hotel's roof-top bar has my favorite panoramic view of Vesuvius, Sorrento and Capri. A wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing moment after a day of touring."

"The room is small and old and this was shocking as the price is pretty high. The breakfast was rich with things that were not that tasty and the eggs were terrible. The team is not very nice I must say."
