Excellent location, beautiful facilities, and friendly staff. I stayed 5 nights in the spacious Loader Suite (room 9) and will again whenever I return to Cape Town. A delightful home away from home!
Well positioned, very central.
All round, great room friendly staff nothing to complain about

always nice to stay in a safe area which has this specific village character

Comfortable accommodation in a good location.
Comfortable accommodation in a good location. If you plan on having / renting a car, parking in the area is difficult to find. The rooms are simple, but good enough if you are just looking for a place to sleep.
We actually didn't stay at Dell Waterkant house, they are part of a collection of properties in the area and when we checked in we were actually given a room in the Charles guest house. We were a little dissapointed at first but the room was a good size with very comfortable King bed and good facilities. De Waterkant area has a great community feel with a choice of restaurants and bars. Would stay here again.

Great location but will not stay there again.
A nice, cosy hotel located in a beautiful neighbourhord. The bed was firm and nice. The pool looked big in the photos but is tiny IRL. The room was very cold during the night now that we stayed in Cape Town in june. The tip we left on the bed disappeared before the room was cleaned up, I suspect that the staff the tip was infonded for never received their tip.

Great location
Room quite small but very comfortable great views. Bed super comfy.
We stayed four nights here and throughly enjoyed it. The room was clean and modern and the location was great. Nice neighborhood with plenty of shops and restaurants. It's within walking distance of downtown and close to the waterfront as well, but the best part of the place was the reception staff. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. You can't beat the place for the price.

A different kind of place
The hotel is set in a cool part of old Cape Town and consiste of various different old houses. The Village was a bit run down. One had to ask for the reception which was a block away and the breakfast allowance was only R60.
The room was small but comfortable, wifi did not work and the TV was pretty small.
I have no idea how they got a 4 star rating. I would sy between 2 and 3

Room we booked didn't have any bathroom door and the bath was in the middle of the bedroom. Odd design, it upset my wife, she wouldn't have stayed if she knew. Also worth noting that this is seemingly a gay village. Feels uncomfortable being the only hetero couple in a bar or restaurant.
Very nice place, however as I went there in winter and the room did not have heating, it got very cold at night.
Otherwise very cosy and nice place, friendly people. Great neighborhood with quite some restaurants and bars.

Different, boutique-type hotel
Warm welcome. My room elegant with a charming patio, but located a small distance up a hill from main hotel. Security system difficult to handle in dark. Tiny pool with room for only a few loungers and limited sunshine. Excellent breakfast.

Convenient for wandering around Cape Town
A cluster of individual houses turned into hotel rooms. Plenty of braii stands, rooftop space and a funky little pool. Staff very helpful!
Just off the Cape Town CBD is this wonderful suburb of de waterkant. De Waterkant house is right in the middle of this and access to anything from long Street to the waterfront is a mere hop away. A gorgeous guest house that I'll certainly return to.

Kann man machen, muss man nicht
Unterbringung war in recht feuchten Kellerzimmern, Personal gab es nur im Haupthaus. Lage ist recht gut, man kann auch abends ohne "Gefahr" die umliegenden Restaurants besuchen.

cute guest house in AMAZING neigborhood !!!
both times i've been to Cape Town - i have stayed here .... if u are looking for a quaint neighborhood to stay in w/ good eats and shopping -- STAY HERE
Je zit exact tussen het V&A Waterfront en het centrum van Kaapstad in (beide 10 min. lopen) en ook de supermarkt (met veel vers producten) is om de hoek. Qua locatie heb je dus echt niks te wensen.
