Cape Standard Guest House - Lovely & Quaint!

I had a lovely stay! The manager Paddington was really incredible! He was always willing to help with what I needed, and was friendly, kind, and did an amazing job! :-)

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has enough choices and they can arrange for allergies upon request. Garden is a green, lush beautiful oasis that automatically relaxes you. Would recommend others to stay here.

Camera ampia e molto pulita, letto comodissimo. Dal patio si accedeva direttamente alla piscina. Molto carino il giardino dove la mattina viene servita un'abbondante colazione. Personale giovane, simpatico, preparato. La zona è comoda al centro, che è raggiungibile a piedi con una bella passeggiata. Parcheggio gratuito disponibile.

Excelente atendimento! Toda a equipe trata os hóspedes com muito cuidado! Quarto e chuveiro confortáveis. Localização segura. Café da manhã com o básico, porém muito bem preparado e cobre todos os paladares. Todos os profissionais são ótimas sugestões de restaurantes, bares e passeios. Geweldige plek om te verblijven, centraal gelegen bij Camps Bay en Waterfront, rustige mooie omgeving, fantastische villa, Margot en personeel bijzonder hulpzaam en uitstekende service. Een klein puntje, het bed is iets gammel, maar verder the place to be, we komen zeker terug!

Zentral gelegenes kleines Hotel mit persönlichem und sehr zuvorkommenden Service. Das ein oder andere Möbelstück geht vom Zustand her über den Vintagelook hinaus. Alles in allem zu empfehlen, insbesondere der Service ist hervorzuheben.

Casually elegant lodgings. We stayed in the Annex which is an economy suite, but felt we had our own little piece of privacy. The common areas are beautifully appointed with original art nicely displayed. The staff is highly friendly and attentive. They have superb restaurant suggestions and they will help you with reservations, taxi, and all and sundry. Breakfast included is a very nice option. The owner is not a bad bloke either!

Out of season Cape Town

Got a fab out of season deal, around 70% saving. Was upgraded at no extra cost. I stayed in room 9. Reminds me of lush Durban, palm trees and funky decor of the room. Just a pity internet is really bad. So if you plan to have a lazy night in, bring own DVDs or downloaded movies along, can watch on TV in room

Hello! My stay in this hotel was really great! The location is prefect, close to everything and very safe. Concerning the hotel, the staff is very friendly and ready to help you with everything. The room was good also, you have all the furnitures and stuff you need to sleep well! What I have also enjoyed the breakfast included: nice and simple. I will definitely come again!

Beautiful Hotel, Great Stay

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we had a great experience. All of the staff are extremely friendly, courteous and go the extra mile. The hotel is nicely furnished and breakfast is of a high standard. The hotel is situated in a nice location and has a nice, relaxed vibe.

Charming guesthouse with fantastic staff

Cape Standard was our first stop after arriving in South Africa and it made a great impression! The room was very chic with a stylish bathroom, and the terrace at the back of the property was a gorgeous haven where we felt instantly relaxed after our travels. We were also able to eat breakfast out there on each morning of our stay which was such a treat. The guesthouse is situated in a good spot in Greenpoint, and was around a 20 minute walk to the waterfront area, though one evening we did decide to drive it instead. There was some construction work taking place behind the hotel, which wasn't an issue for most of our stay due to it being the weekend, but it could scupper a lie in during the week!

Excellent entry to Cape Town

The welcome at the Cape Standard couldn't have been better. From early emails to Margot about airport transfers and car rental, to the warm greeting we received from Paddington upon our late-night arrival, the dinner recommendations and reservations, plus general tips on getting around the city, the delicious breakfast, and the beautiful design of the place, we felt at home immediately. Really we couldn't ask for more. Cape Standard is a find.

Excellent hotel!

We stayed at the Cape Standard for 4 nights. We were looked after really well from the minute we walked in until we left. The room was very modern and comfortable and the communal areas are well decorated and relaxing. Breakfast was simple but delicious each day and the service we received was brilliant. A special thanks to Paddington, he was a great host, always smiling and nothing was ever too much trouble.

Very comfortable guesthouse with very nice and fri

Some of the buildings are old but they are redecorated to be modern and clean yet keep their original look. All staff are very kind and will help you with anything. Stayed three nights and had a very good time.
