Very happy with my stay at the Bantry. Everyone was very friendly and the duplex that I had was super, everything needed for a self catering stay. Nice breakfast too and conveniently located for Sea Point, shops and the Big Red Bus tour busstop.

I liked the location of this hotel, although I had hoped it would be closer to the waterfront. The view was lovely out our 4th floor balcony though! The employee at the front desk during the day (Asi, I believe) was very kind and extremely helpful. He was able to answer all our questions and even helped us make some reservations for some amazing meals. Thank you, sir!

I would definitely recommend The Bantry to others traveling to Cape Town. The property is located in an area where it is safe to walk after dark and there are plenty of food options within a few blocks. The hotel is also one block from the beach walk and the tour buses stop a half block from the hotel. Our hotel room was spacious and we had a great view of the ocean. The staff was very accomodating. I would recommend the bar staying open a bit later; it closed between 7:00 and 8:00 every night.

The location of the hotel is very convenient and the staff is very polite and helpful. Avoid stay on the first floor as the restaurant is located here. The noise and the banging starts very early every morning around 7am. Although we wake up early but not at 7am so thats huge negative from my side.

Nice hotel conveniently located in a beautiful part of town. Service was excellent, breakfast was good, room amenities were great. Only issue was the lack of sufficient generator backup during electricity load shedding periods in the area; we were told that the hotel was in the process of getting the issue fixed.

My original reservation was booked through Expedia and, apparently, you two don’t work well together: I choose to pay in full at the property and you guys want a deposit, which wasn’t announced to directly by you or by Expedia. When I arrived to check-in, my reservation was inexistent and between speaking to the property and Expedia, it was very frustrating seeing both of you guilting each other. Also, the carpet in the rooms is DISGUSTING. This is 2025, please get rid of them.
