Top Canterbury Hotel Reviews
The Victoria Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very happy with our stay here, they kindly said we could park up earlier than our checking in time. Our room was ready earlier too so that was a plus. The cooked breakfasts were lovely and brought to your table, we had dinner one evening in the restaurant and that was lovely too. Very polite and helpful staff. We asked if we could leave car in the car park for the morning on day of departure just so we could walk into town and they said that was fine. It made for a very cheerful stay the staff were friendly"
Greyfriars Lodge
8/10 Good
"though the hotel is quite old and some facilities are not good(e.g. window not easily opened, wifi signal is weak if not on gound floor), yet the staff (Sanjeewa) was very helpful, kind and gentle. the location is superb, and the breakfast is great as well."
Cathedral Gate Hotel
8/10 Good
"Хороший отель было жарко не было кондиционера хотя предоставили фан а так было отлично"
The Falstaff Hotel
8/10 Good
"The rooms are in historic buildings adjacent to the main hotel so they can be stuffy as expected but there was a fan provided which helped. Thankfully temperatures were only as high as the mid 20s when we stayed, but there is no AC so bear that in mind if that's something you're used to having. The main building itself is beautiful to look at, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent . They also have happy hour for residents between 6 and 7 with free cheese! That was a lovely touch; the cocktails weren't bad at all either. It's close to Cafe de Soleil which I recommend you go to if you do stay here, I think you'll get a free dessert there if you book a table there through the hotel. Overall, we had a great stay - the location was amazing and the room was comfortable."
Hampton by Hilton Canterbury
8/10 Good
"Everything good except for a noisy chaotic breakfast area. The hotel needs to rethink the traffic flow situation."
The Bat and Ball
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely hotel and great staff! My partner left some clothes behind and they sent them by mail, so pleased. We are definitely coming back"
Canterbury Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Having parking was great. Staff was very kind and helpful. The suite was great. Lots of room."
Best Western Abbots Barton Hotel
8/10 Good
"Overall the very pleasant stay, I did find a few beer bottle caps under the bed upon arrival. But the facilities and food was excellent."
ABode Canterbury
10/10 Excellent
"I grew up in Canterbury and while I live in New York, I visit many times a year to see friends and family and have stayed at many different hotels but after staying here a few years ago, I look nowhere else. It’s central location is second to none, the ornate and wonderfully maintained interior character of the lobby, stairways, bar, restaurant, hallways and of course the rooms is meticulous. From the front desk to the house keeping staff, everyone is extremely helpful, courteous and polite with a professionalism they clearly take pride in upholding. The rooms are always very clean, wonderfully decorated, very comfortable and provide all the amenities you could want when traveling. I have stayed here through freezing cold winters and blisteringly hot summers yet the rooms never fail to efficiently maintain an exceptionally comfortable temperature. I cannot recommend staying here highly enough, and very much look forward to my next visit in a few weeks!"
