"We had a small wedding here in the first week of October, and everything about this villa exceeded our expectations! To start, the property and surrounding area is unbelievably beautiful. Barga and Castelnuovo are hidden gems that had great restaurants and sights to visit. The property itself is nestled on the side of the mountain, and has stunning views of the valley. Our favorite was the morning fog that rolls in! The villa itself was perfectly updated, while retaining its Tuscan charm. We were able to comfortably fit family and friends in the individual apartments that allowed for hanging out but privacy also. However the best part of our stay at the villa was interacting with the owner, our wedding coordinator Marie (through Tuscan retreats), and the staff. They immediately treated us like family and were extremely generous! They cooked our wedding reception dinner as well as the pizza night. The food was up there with some of the best meals we’ve ever had, and the service felt like fine dining! They were so understanding and gracious with all of the chaos that comes with a wedding, and for that we’ll be forever grateful.We highly recommend this property to anyone thinking about getting off the beaten path in Tuscany, we certainly can’t wait for our next visit!"

"Loved this villa! It is so spacious with plenty of room for the nine of us who stayed. Everywhere was very clean and well kept. The outside space is delightful with lots of spaces to enjoy and of course the magnificent pool which we all enjoyed very much. We also really appreciated the gifts of wine, cake and pasta/sauce - delicious! There was a list of days for different categories of rubbish to be collected. However, despite putting the refuse out, some was not collected. Maybe the list needs to be updated? We were somewhat disappointed that trains do not seem to run from Piazza al Serchio station, as we had expected from the information given. Instead, all journeys appear to commence with a bus ride to connect to a train elsewhere.However, this couple of niggles did not detract from a fabulous holiday. "We had a wonderful stay at this villa – the setting is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. The villa was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.Our children especially loved the alpacas, chickens, and tortoises. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, even leaving us a delicious homemade cake on arrival.The nearby villages are quiet but charming and worth visiting. We also took day trips to Florence and Pisa – longer drives, but definitely worth it.Thank you for a fantastic stay!"

"The cottage is wonderful for getting away from it all. Comfy bed, wifi, brilliant host, a varied selection of wildlife and animals! The location is really off the beaten track, the last road to the parking is very narrow with tight bends. We walked down the ancient path to the medieval bridge a couple of times, steep but great views. Very peaceful place, thoroughly recommended."

"We were awe stricken upon arrival. This home was even better in person. There was one morning when there were low clouds in the valley and we ate on the patio seemingly above the clouds. The views were spectacular. The drive to the home is typical, switchbacks, tight curves and elevation gain. The nights at the main house were cool and comfortable. The pool was always refreshing after our daily adventures. There is a bathroom by the pool for convenience too. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table too! Just a great stay, everything we hoped for. "Lovely old mountain house with great pizza oven and stone built BBQ. The gardens are great and the pool was amazing. THAT VIEW!! you feel like you are swimming in the mountains. We even saw fire flies at night. "

"What a find! We went as a large family group, so to have separate apartments for each individual family worked out perfectly for us. Their accommodation was well equipped immaculately clean and comfortable.Some of our part of a clean cyclist, so to any cyclist it’s an absolute Mecca, but you have to like hills! "

"An incredible modern property. The infinity pool was amazing. The pool a little cold, but this is due to the time of year. Beautiful location such incredible scenery. The host tried to be as helpful as possible. They were happy to lend us a heater to warm up the apartment."
