"This seems to be a property in transition. Some parts are very nice, other parts are old and tired. Lots of areas with peeling paint, weeds, but beautiful lounge and fun pub. Our room was an example of transition. Great bathroom, but unfinished carpeting on stairs, pictures hung too high and off centre in room, beds not made properly, mismatched towels in bathroom (one huge and one on the smaller side, instead of two identical bath towels), and housekeeping was spotty. However, the room had a great view and we had a wonderful whale watching tour from the Marine centre onsite. Hopefully in time all the renovations and tweaking will be done as it has the potential to be truly wonderful."
