Casale delle Rose
4.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (46)
"The property was clean, but basic and a little rustic. It was a peaceful country experience with lots of birdsong and frogs sounding in the valley. If you want peace and quiet, this is it. It is a bit off the beaten track south of Caltagirone, a very charming town. We were the only guests in the early season, so Michele and his wife cooked just for us for one night. The food was incredibly fresh and flavourful and really from the farm. That was a wonderful experience. The service was very...

"There's not a lot of hotels in Caltagirone to choose from. Even so, this one is worth a night or two if you are going to the town itself or even Villa Romana. The rooms are clean, comfortable and bathrooms seem well maintained. Best reason to go though is the outstanding dinner and wine from the owners vineyard. Overall a nice experience."

Two Steps From The Staircase Restyling
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (2)
"Stefano was an excellent host. The apartment was very clean and nice. Our stay occurred during the coronavirus outbreak. Stefano was constantly checking in on us. We had a butcher and bakery very close to the apartment. We never had to go far. Given the situation, we were treated very well. So consider what it would be like during a more normal situation here in Sicily. Stefano would be a perfect host and the location was great. We didn't really get to go out and see the town, but I know the...
