"We opted for bed and breakfast at the hotel, we did a lot of hiking whilst on Madeira and, the Saccharum resort breakfast never failed to set us up for whatever we were getting up to. First class service! Great local restaurants in the area but I have to call out the hotel restaurants as being second to none. We ate in the restaurant overlooking the infinity pool on two occasions- fantastic choice, efficiency and the staff were wonderful."

"Wir haben den Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genossen. Das Haus ist fantastisch!!! Super modern und mit traumhaften Blick auf das Meer und die umliegenden Hügel. Celia war eine tolle Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns an der Tankstelle im Ort getroffen und uns dann zum Haus geleitet, denn ohne sie hätten wir es nicht gefunden. Zur Begrüßung gab es von ihr ein Korb mit einer Flasche Rotwein, Erdnüssen, Kuchen, Madeirawein, Bananen und Eier. Wir haben den Aufenthalt so genossen, dass wir am zweiten Tag unseres Urlaubes das Haus gleich wieder für nächstes Jahr gebucht haben. Wenn ich 10 Sterne geben dürfte, würde ich 10 Sterne geben!!!"

"Calheta Beach Resort is a simple yet lovely beach property. Some reviews say ‘dated’, but I think that’s the charm of the place. Food was good, not great, but service was fantastic all across the board. Easy to get to and easy to take day trips to Porto Moniz and Funchal. I would recommend Calheta Beach. "

"Not often in life do you get to stay in a property of this quality in such a special location. The weather was almost perfect and we enjoyed two super weeks exploring Arco Da Calheta and Madeira. The pool and pool area at Casa Das Flores are amazing, we used the pool every day. The villa has everything you need come rain or shine. Access to walks and shops/bars from the door also a bonus. Our only critique was the noise from locals who appeared to be racing their cars at night near the property. Overall, a 5 star property in a fantastic location."

"Cristina is an exceptional host - having an evening meal prepared on arrival was a really thoughtful touch and much appreciated. The villa is charming, very well appointed and exactly as advertised - the view is stunning. We’ll particularly miss our morning coffee on the upstairs terrace in the sun! ☀️"
