First, the room was very clean, the water pressure in the shower was good, water was hot and the bed was comfortable. For the low prices this hotel offers, that’s really all you can ask for.
And it was pretty much all we got :)
Amenities are bare bones, skimpy towels, tiny soap, no shampoo or body wash... first time I’ve seen a bathroom and shower with soap dispensers mounted on the walls. There was a small selection of coffee and tea, but no creamer. Closet space was small and there was no dresser. Elevators stop on the landing in between floors so you’ll either walk up or down half a flight. Hallways are dark and a bit spooky.
Optional breakfast was very good, but more expensive than a similar breakfast in our expensive Paris hotel.
Neighborhood seemed a little seedy, but there are decent restaurants within walking distance, including Pancake Fever next door which was hot, cheap, freshly prepared and delicious.
Oh - it’s a bit hard to find and the hotel offers NO PARKING. Street parking is in very high demand. One night, I drove around for 15 minutes looking for a spot. If you don’t have GPS, good luck to you!
All in all, we got our money’s worth, but we didn’t spend much, if you know what I’m saying. Book a cheap hotel - get a cheap hotel.
