"It is a bit off the beaten path but worth it when you get there. You are surrounded by woods and peace and quiet. Neighbors are far enough away we didn't hear a thing all night. Really does look like the pictures. Great property. Hot tub and gas fire pit are were perfect. Neat places nearby to go to and plenty of places to eat. They also get right back to you if any questions."

"We had no plans to visit this area, but finding a rental that allows two dogs with no weight restrictions is always a challenge. I’m so grateful our search led us to Buck Haven!The cabin was absolutely immaculate and probably the nicest rental we’ve ever stayed in. The attention to detail in both the construction and furnishings was truly impressive. Everything was thoughtfully done, and you can tell how much care went into creating and maintaining the space. Janie was a thoughtful and sweet host. We especially appreciated the later checkout time, which allowed us to enjoy our last morning instead of rushing around to pack and leave.You will have zero regrets booking this rental. Thank you, Cy and Janie, for providing such an exceptional getaway. We truly enjoyed our time at Buck Haven."

"Our stay at Cabin Bungalow was perfect! Lovely and well maintained cabin, clean and comfortable! Pet-friendly, our host Lynn checked in on us at arrival to ask if there was anything we needed, and also touched base with us, the night before our departure. We will most certainly look to book again and we HIGHLY recommend this 4 bedroom, 2 bath cabin, even though we only used 1 bedroom, and 1 bath. Loved the screened in porch, right off of the living room and the propane grill on the bottom, back deck. Thank you Lynn :-)"

"Lovely house with a marvelous wrap-around deck at treetop level. [But steep stairs to reach front door and deck.] Very well-provisioned bathrooms and kitchen for our week's stay. All accommodations were comfortable and our grandkids loved the pool and pingpong tables downstairs. We enjoyed the open kitchen/dining/living quarters. Sarah promptly addressed our questions. Located right across 522 from Cacapon State Park usually means access to its beach and lake, but we found the beach closed because of no staff - h.s. lifeguards had returned to school on 8.17. We'd assumed all park facilities would be staffed thru Labor Day. Our mistake."

"House was clean and had everything we needed to have a pleasant stay. Cabin was so cute and comfy. Hot tub was clean and all the game tables were in good condition. The stairs down to the water and traversing the river could be a little treacherous for someone older. Walk down the path to the boat ramp and launch your tube for a little float to the property. We had such a nice time enjoying the outdoors, fishing, exploring the river, and relaxing. It’s a little bit of a hike for grocery needs but there are a few places to snag a milkshake or a sandwich within ten minutes. Thanks for sharing this special place!"

"From the minute that I contacted Janie until the minute we checked out , ou anniversary trip was just perfect! The cabin is amazing and spotless! There wasn’t anything out of place, not a speck of dust anywhere. Inside……The towels and linens were so nice. Good water pressure and a big bathroom. The glass shower was really large and at 6 ft 2 , being a big guy, I had plenty of room. The silence inside the cabin is so pleasant, easy to sleep in.Outside, the silence and peacefulness we so relaxing, morning and night. The sliders going out onto the beautiful shaded deck glide easily. The king bed just felt so comfortable at the end of a day. The cabin furniture is sturdy but comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with anything you might need. Appliances are all current, Large refrigerator and freezer. Ice maker sure came in handy! The coffee maker was just like ours and super clean. The Kurig was there but we didn’t use it. Big kitchen sink and as you are at the sink, you are treated to a nice view into an open Oak tree woods. The dishwasher was perfect! We could not get over how wonderful the decks were, ceiling fans on the deck were a really nice touch. Every morning and every evening there are deer to watch. About 6:30 am you can see deer out of the high placed bathroom windows, it’s like seeing an outdoor scene live every morning. I could go on and on about the cabin and surrounding property. Meet Janie and Cy. Janie helped me plan my anniversary trip. She’s amazing."
