"This was our second year coming to the Rip Jack villas and it was an excellent stay. Hotel staff was very kind and courteous. Rooms were clean and kept clean daily. The food in the hotel was delicious; we’re still debating who among us had the best meals. This year we traveled with a larger group and everyone had a great time. We will definitely be back next year!"

"Great beach. Coarse shell sand but still ok on bare feet. Not overly busy and right off the resort. Waves not really big enough to boogie board on but good for smaller kids to play. Pool is very nice with lots of lounging areas. Entertainment area with pool tables, ping pong and fooseball - great for kids/teens. Spacious and quiet rooms with great amenities. Animals on the resort are a highlight (iguanas, monkeys, raccoons). Food was excellent with nice variety and good quality. Staff was helpful and friendly. No complaints other than our check in was very slow."

"Unfortunately the worst experience I have ever had. Don’t get fooled by the pictures they have online. It is nothing close to the description. They price was very high for the service and quality of the hotel. It was dirty and the food was poor. The price for this hotel per night should be $50 and not $285. I got scammed and it was a ripoff. Be carefully friends. "

"The views from Bilitis’ home are unmatched. Absolutely stunning sunsets. The house was perfect for our two families. More than enough space to spread out. Flamingo beach is just a 10 min golf cart drive away and you have your own small beach as well. We took advantage of the many services that Bilitis also offers and loved them all (Stephanie the yoga instructor was fantastic!). Bilitis was helpful and super quick to respond. Her staff members were all lovely as well. Don’t hesitate to book. You won’t regret it!"

"Room and area around the hotel is always clean and maintained properly by staff. Especially Felix who is always around to help if needed. This is a rustic hotel and many locals from in and around Costa Rica come to visit and stay. It’s welcoming and comforting if that’s the vibe you are after. There are many noises. Roosters all day every day, doesn’t matter the time of day. Birds. And lots of them. Then you have the busy intersection, there are Sodas (local restaurants) in the area behind the hotel, and the gives a vibe of liveliness. Which I didn’t mind at all, it added to the experience of Pura Vida. The proximity to everything you need and want is within walking distance. "

"This place is truly a gem. We had 5 couples thoroughly and comfortably enjoy a week here. The pictures can't possibly due it the justice it deserves. A couple things for others to note. There are nice 3 bedrooms inside the house, 1 amazing bedroom with panoramic windows and the most amazing view that is attached to the house, and 1 separate casita with kitchen, living and bed and bath unattached. All bedrooms are very comfortable with their own bathrooms. But there is a clear winner being the bedroom woth the view. The house was plenty big enough for 5 couples. The beach from the house. was superb. Yes, you can swim and snorkel. Its a hike up and down the steps but we used it as our excuse for our daily workout. Golf cart rentals are more valuable than car rentals. We wished we rented cars as needed versus for the week. But, we needed the golf carts daily. This is a special place. Enjoy!"
