Excellent
Cabarete is very interesting, with nice food options, and shopping for local items, but, like everywhere in northern DR, driving is a hair-raising experience. - not recommended. Beach vendors can be annoying, but they're just trying to make a living.

Good
Cabarete is growing from a village to an upscale, boutique, destination. Highly recommended for people who want a quite destination.

Nice beach with many dining options and away from the large all inclusive hotels.
"I had an amazing experience staying at Las Golondrinas Cabarete. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. The hostess, Alicia, was incredibly welcoming and made sure every detail of my stay was perfect. Jazmin at the front desk was equally outstanding—professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate any request.
The entire facility was spotless, and the attention to cleanliness was noticeable throughout my stay. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very comfortable. One of the highlights was the state-of-the-art gym—by far one of the best I’ve seen at any hotel—and the beautiful lap pool was perfect for both relaxation and a good swim.
The location is also ideal, just a short drive to both Sosúa and Puerto Plata, giving you quick access to beaches, restaurants, and local attractions.
What truly impressed me was the level of care shown by the staff. I accidentally left my glasses behind after checking out, and Jazmin didn’t just call me immediately—she even offered to pay for a cab to bring them to me so I wouldn’t miss my flight. That kind of service is rare and deeply appreciated.
I highly recommend Las Golondrinas Cabarete to anyone visiting the area. The combination of exceptional service, clean and spacious accommodations, and great amenities makes it a true gem.
