This is our second stay at Links House, and we went for the suite as we found the queen room to be quite small last time. It is a lovely single-level property with multiple rooms around a courtyard. The suite was very spacious, nicely decorated and it was nice to have a gas fireplace in the separate sitting area. However, we did find that there were some maintenance issues such as a broken wood blind (leaving a gap that people can peek through from the outside straight into the sleeping area), and a marked toilet seat. Toilet paper was quite rough. Check-in/check-out was alright but we didn't find the staff particularly warm or welcoming, which is the the personal touch that you hope for for a small boutique hotel. Breakfast is only one hour from 8-9am and service was haphazard with orders mixed up and was very slow, we had to wait over half an hour for the food. Wait staff was polite and apologetic but it seems like they were understaffed.
Overall it was a nice stay, just those little things could be improved upon.
