Loved the small pool befire a days sighseeing.Room comfortable .Breakfast enjoyable but didnt t like being ejected at 10am from conservatory as we were sitting after breakfast .Early breakfast provided as early flight substabtial although yogurt abd water remived at airport security. Close to metro links to city.Great stay

Good hotel with half-board option
I choose this hotel because they have option to book room with half-board, which is very nice. Breakfast very taste, and at dinner you have to choose from a menu, and all the food is very delicious. About the room : they could renovate the room, looks very old.

Ideally located, if you want to be slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the city....But still only 5 minutes walk to the metro, which is fantastic!

Excellent suite with plenty of space and a small kitchen. Comfortable beds and the dinner options at the restaurant were delicious. 5 minutes walk to the metro station. Stores and eateries nearby.

The spa on the top floor is lovely. As are the views. The balconies could be maintained a bit more. Otherwise overall the property is in good condition.

I liked the view from the top floor and the spa facilities which were clean and well-equipped. My room had some stains on the carpets and the furniture was a worn and battered but the hotel was only cheap and everything worked well. There was no kettle in my room or tea-making facilities which I am used to in England. I asked about this at reception and a kettle was provided for me and I was allowed to borrow a cup from the dining room.

It does not deserve 4 star rating. The hallway carpet was not clean. the soap and shampoo was in envelopes hard to open and not sufficient. There were extra charges on check out

Close to public transportation, a walk to Pest side but not bad! The breakfast had a lot of selection, many types of drinks too. We also went to the restaurant and the food was delicious! The rooms are nicely kept and decorated. Staff was helpful. General areas kept clean, nice little park area for kids to play. I’d stay there again!

The location was excellent. Very close to transit station, shopping, parks, Buda Castle.The breakfast were excellent. Our patio faced on to a beautiful green frees and lawn.

Mixed feelings
I'd give this hotel a 3.5 if I could. Some aspects were very good, like the breakfast which was in a lovely solarium with great coffee and good food. The beds were uncomfortably firm, the pillows strangely thin and flat, and the for me the most difficult part of getting rest was the very weak air conditioning. I've traveled a lot in Europe and understand that systems are less cool than US hotels, but this was uncomfortable. A travel friend in another room also commented, unprompted, on the stuffy conditions. I asked at the (very nice) front desk, and indeed what temperature we got was what the system could manage. Be aware, opening the windows isn't really an option overnight on the front side of the hotel due to the very busy, noisy street. The hotel has pretty convenient access to transit, but isn't very central to walk to major sights of the city. Also a fairly long trek from the airport by minivan service. As a mid-price 4*, I just felt this place missed the mark slightly. If the weather had been cooler (27C in mid-May was unexpected), I would probably have given higher marks.

Great location, great value for money!
Not in the town centre but 15min by public transport. 5min walk to bus, tram and metro. Overall the hotel is very nice, however the breakfast could improve. Also they close breakfast at 10am and the staff at the restaurant are a bit too impatient and make you leave even if you are still eating.. so make sure you arrive with enough time...! That would be my only complain, besides that the hotel is a great value for money, nice staff and clean facilities.

Lovely hotel, great food in the restaurant
Efficient check in and gave us a late check out to tie in with our pick up time which made a huge difference. Comfortable room, lovely roof top pool and sauna. A long walk to the castle funicular and down to the river although only a short walk to a transport hub.

Pre Christmas visits to Budapest...Belvedere
It’s clean,comfortable and conveniently placed for public transport...staff are excellent... most of them with the hotel for years... Rooms are in winter overheated ;) a common faultin Central & Eastern Europe... need to open windows from time to time... if in a room at the back that is not a problem...sauna on roof top is a luxury to enjoy after a walking day before getting ready for dinner... if lazy to go out the food in the hotel is very good too... a great value for money Hotel

Suitable for our trip
The hotel is near to transportation of the Metro and trams and equally walkable to the Pest side - close to historical interest sites too. The breakfast room has a conservatory and everyone wants to sit in there because it's much brighter. The reception staff are very helpful as well as the restaurant staff I would stay here again if I chose to visit Budapest - the rooms are clean and roomy with good clothes hanging facilities. Budapest has many places of interest. We were disappointed with the House of Horrors and our boat trip as it was a very 'grey' day and you couldn't hear the commentary either.

Quiet but convenient location
We booked a suit which was quite spacious. The room rate was very reasonable and breakfast was included. There's a bus (no. 5) to / from train station. Walking to the Buda castle was about 30 minutes. The location was quiet but very convenient.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week and couldn't have been happier. The staff was excellent and they were very quick to help us out with anything we asked about. We had a room with a balcony facing the park (you need to ask at the reception when you check in if there are any available). During the day it was pretty noisy but that didn't bother us since we weren't in the room much. At night it was nice and quiet. Good size bedroom. And you can regulate the temperature in the room. AC worked great. I found the bed to be too hard but that might have more to do with my bad back. Good size bathroom with overhead shower which had great pressure. The TV channels were in several languages. Only 2 were in English and they were BBC news. Again we were in the room too much so that didn't matter for us. Very nice pool up on the 9th floor which in the evening you could see the whole city light up. There was also a couple of saunas which we needed to ask to be started up for us to use. Breakfast buffet was very good. Lovely sitting out in the pavilion. We had dinner in the restaurant 1 night and it was also very good. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel so getting down to the metro is only 1 stop and goes fast. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend stay there.

Wonderful gem within walking distance to Danube
Stayed 4 nights---nice size rooms--good ensuite bathroom--Breakafast good---staff very helpful---no noise--we walked to all sites of interest except when going to Ballet at State Opera (taxis very reasonable price )---opera house is beautiful worth a visit. Indoor pool nice size with sauna in same area --clean and modern . Restaurants very nearby within 5 mins by foot along with a big indoor shopping mall --Mammut .--with ATM s . Buda Gem
The Belvedere is an accommodating hotel located in the Buda side of town. Just a few blocks away is a major transit hub with a subway stop, light rail, and buses. Hotel staff is very friendly. There is a lovely rooftop deck and pool. Our room was quite comfortable. The hotel's restaurant provides a breakfast, but it was a bit disappointing (like so many hotel breakfasts). We would stay at the Belvedere again....
