"Difficult to find in the dark
Beds uncomfortable with small rooms, nowhere to open a case
No instructions for boiler or hot water. When we did work out the boiler, only 2 of us had a shower because the water was too hot and dangerous, we couldn’t get it any colder the temperature control in the shower did nothing.
The bathroom was musty and grimy and like a caravan size pod. "

"Very convenient location for the Royal Bath & West Showground. Owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was a little small but contained everything we needed and was very comfortable. We ate here on both nights of our stay and the food was great. Breakfast was also lovely.
The room would benefit from a few cosmetic improvements but we would certainly stay here again."
"We had a pleasant two nights at The Kings Arms Inn, which is situated in a charming medieval village on the outskirts of Yeovil. The Inn is nicely medieval too with plenty of character. The room was very clean but we were disappointed that the room wasn't larger, as we understood it was bigger than the room we had last year, when we brought our dog. The Inn lets itself down with lack of maintenance in various areas; the carpet up to our room was heavily stained and the window covering was coming off and needed replacing. The staff were very friendly and served us promptly and efficiently. All meals were very good."
"Firstly I would not recommend this place to stay to anyone.
On the plus side the room was clean but any so called amenities were pretty basic for what was described as 4 star.
To be told on arrival by the manager/chef/barman/probably everything this as he seemed to be the only person on the premises, that there was no food due to no delivery was a bit of a blow. Then be told that an English breakfast was going to be an additional £8 per head also didn't go down well. We were informed that breakfast was between 8-10.
Thankfully we were only staying the one night, as in the morning no breakfast appeared infact nobody in the place seemed to be around.
My wife and I began to think apart from others who were staying noone
else was in the property, infact I had to unlock the front entrance first thing. We ended up leaving our room keys on the bar and left.
Clearly the place is being run if you can say run on a shoe string.
Unless some serious organisation/work on the place is carried out ASAP
then closure is inevitable, which would be a great shame for a lovely building."
"Check in was straight forward. Car park location was conveniently positioned next to the Bear. Staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful. Room was clean and tidy."
"Beautiful room with original details and large modern bathroom with great facilities. Whilst the outdoor pool and spa area is being renovated and built they are managing alternate facilities very well. Well made cocktails with a few interesting twists and good menu. So much space to kick back and relax and for kids to run and play without disturbing others."
"Spent one night at The George. The staff were very friendly, check in was very smooth. Very knowledgeable about car parking in the town. Our room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. We slept well. The bathroom was well appointed, the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. My partner had a full English which he was very pleased with. I had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area."
"We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at the Hotel, our standard room was of a very generous size, much bigger than a lot of hotels which was very pleasing.
The Hotel throughout was spotlessly clean, and the food was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and the cost was very reasonable, there was always plenty of parking spaces in the car park, and we will definitely visits again, the Hotel exceeded our expectations."
"NEVER STAY IN THIS HELL HOLE. even the welcome mat had a 3 foot hole in it lol
the room was old, ripped wall paper, many things was broken, the furniture was old and broken.
most and I think illegal, due to fire regulations was the windows was restricted to opening 3 inches, with blocks and screws, we would have had no fire escape if the fire was on our 2nd floor landing, We had no sleep in the two nights stay as it was over 40 degrees in the room with no air
paint flaking off radiators,
broken glass in the doors
the staff was rude and non caring
the food was terrible, served a salad that was wilted and not fit to eat, day they messed up our breakfast and gave us fish , instead of bacon
we left after 2 days of a 6 day stay"
