"We were alarmed when we pulled up to the property since the lawn didn't look like it had been mowed and the garbages were overflowing and torn up by rodents, there was a treehouse in the back that was boarded up with broken glass windows, the fire pit we were to use was completely rusted and collapsed rendering it useless. "Our stay at Black Donald Escape was actually perfect. The cottage itself was modern and cozy with all the required amenities. It actually exceeded our expectations from the ad. The cottage located on the south side of a peninsula, faces a small picturesque bay with no sight lines of other cottages. The view is beautiful. "The 3 bedroom property was lovely. The host thought of everything, the added little touches she provided was very thoughtful . Snacks, bathroom supplies etc. The backyard outdoor area, would have been more enjoyable if the garden and grass was not overgrown. Perhaps the gardener would be maintaining after we left. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place. The beds were comfortable, and each bed had a dofferent level of firmness, to accommodate. "

"Place was great. The only complaint we would have is that the lower level was quite chilly. An extra heat source down there in the winter would be good. It was a little chilly for the little ones. "
