"What a magical 2 night stay! Surpassed expectations. Room was A*, clean and spacious. The castle was elegant and homely. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Food was exceptional also. Would highly recommend and will certainly visit again! "

"The room was spotless, you can tell it was recently renovated. The amenities were amazing, the beds were super comfortable and we had one of the best sleeps we’ve ever had at a hotel. The breakfast the next day was phenomenal, there is good choice. We went for the vegetarian breakfast and those veggie sausages were top class! Kids also loved the pancakes. All in all a very pleasant stay, the finishing touches on the refurbishment are all high quality, and the food is clearly sourced from the very best and most delicious ingredients. Thank you for an amazing stay."

"The cottage was pristine, we felt like we were the first guests. It is a spacious, comfortable and stylish property and the owner’s attention to detail is second to none. Large beds and great showers. Very quiet at night so we slept well. Large private garden. Warcop is a lovely village with good walks along the river & streams. The Chamley Arms around the corner was very welcoming but we just missed out on being able to eat there as they are starting serving meals in July. However we enjoyed the food and friendly welcome at the Sandford Arms in the next village, Sunday lunch was particularly good. Despite the changeable weather we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cosy Nook Cottage, it is not a typical holiday let, it’s a wonderful home."

"The room wasn’t big or fancy, but we didn't need big or fancy. We needed a good night's sleep and a welcome from a brilliant human. We got both, and Fran was a multi-tasking, dart-offering smiley force of happiness, which I really neded. We visited Kirkby Stephen for sad reasons, but we left with a smile. "
