"We booked this house for our Bride to Be's Hen party, there was lots of space for all 20 guests and could have fit more. We loved the communal areas where we could all fit to relax in the living space or eat in the dining room, it was lovely that it fit us all! The process was nice and easy to book and was updated with everything as it went along which was great! It was lovely and clean, a beautiful location and everything you need right there! We were very happy with everything and would definitely return!"

"Cottage was clean, spacious, warm and very comfortable It had everything we needed except we couldn’t find any champagne glasses 🤣 not exactly essential This was a last minute booking and everything was perfect considering the owners had 4 hours notice of our arrival. We would definitely stay here again. Lots of walks from the house and we spent time exploring Sedbergh and Farfield Mill. Thank you"

"We had an amazing stay at Howgills Barn for a hen party of 20. The property was perfect for a large group – very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and with a fantastic social space where we were able to host our own silent disco and karaoke & cocktail nights. Communication from the owners was excellent throughout. They were incredibly easy to deal with and really accommodating – even helping when my supermarket delivery arrived just before check-in by sending a couple of the team to assist. They left me to get organised initially and then came back to show us how everything worked, including the dishwasher, hot tub, and fire alarm, which was really helpful. We did have a small issue with the Wi-Fi, but when I emailed they responded quickly and were very proactive in trying to resolve it. The location is beautiful, with stunning views and a lovely walk into town down the track. It’s also easy to imagine using it as a base for exploring the area or hiking during the day and then coming back to relax in the hot tub. Overall, I couldn’t fault it and would absolutely book again if I needed accommodation for a large group. Highly recommended. Thank you Howgills team!"

"Loved this place! The host does an INCREDIBLE job of making this flat completely gorgeous. From the welcome basket to all the equipment needs in a home away from home (I needed the iron desperately!) to the available snacks... and thank you for putting a bottle of milk in the fridge!! Tea was the thing I wanted the most when I arrived.... The location is ideal for Sedbergh, and I was amazed at how quiet the flat was, given it was on the busy little main street, where delivery trucks are always whizzing by. Couldn't hear a thing! The bed was glorious, a huge king size and super comfortable bedding. And the towels!! OMG other hotels need to learn from those towels. So thick and fluffy and luxurious. If I'd had room in my bursting suitcase I might have nicked one. The bathroom was adorable and the shower was unreal! I want to know where that shower head came from. The only thing I would suggest is put a larger shower glass on the bath, because as you're enjoying the acres of hot water and gushing shower stream, you have to be careful not to spill it all over the bathroom floor in your blissful unawares. So if you want a perfect little place in the heart of Sedbergh from which you can walk to everything, this is it! But I would limit yourselves to two people. There is sleeping room for four, but it might get a little tight. For two, it's perfect. Thank you so much!!"
