Perfect spot overlooking Bratislava Castle. Also, just within walking distance is the city centre and the blue church. Great hotel for a quick stop for adults only and definitely not with kids. Had an extraordinary experience of staying in the boat-turned hotel.

If you are late to this property, it can be a challenge to get in. Thankfully, Expedia came to the rescue and someone came to help. This place was deserted! Pretty sure I was the only one there. While there were mentions of bugs and cleanliness issues in posts, I didn't notice any issues. The place was decent, but there is nobody to help if you need it and it's a walk to everything (but not that terrible). For staying on a boat, it was a neat experience, but I'd recommend staying in the city center. The stress when nobody was there for checkin and not being able to leave my bag to pickup later on checkout were things I appreciate staffed properties for. Otherwise, this place was fine.

Botel Dunajský Pivovar has nice rooms, but it operates as an airbnb apartment and not as a 4-star hotel. It says that it has a 24-hour reception, but that's not true. The reception is open 3pm - 8pm and not on Sundays. If you have a problem, there is no one to turn to. On Saturday we called four times to two different contact numbers but no one answered. No service or support is provided. I wonder what would happen if we lost the entry card. I don't know how it is in the summer since what I am describing happened in the two days of November 28-29.

My stay was terrible. My room was really hot. Thermostat wasn't working. Asked receptionist and could not get it fixed. Had to open window or door and got attacked by mosquitoes. Left me with many bites on body. Asked for iron and ironing board and was told did not have one. It said I could get one on request. I think what I read about hotel was false. Would not recommend going there again. The location was great though.

Do not stay here
Absolutely terrible and false advertising. I stayed 2 nights and almost went to another hotel. I am also emailing the place directly with how bad it was. The rooms are ovens and if you open up the window and turn on the lights, your room will be completely bug infested. I sat in the dark to avoid it. The TV claims you can get channels and gives you directions, but you get nothing. There is no receptionist at night and I almost ran out of toilet paper with no back up roll. The receptionist was worthless. I asked her about the TV and her response was "I would have to check with the other hotel rooms" and gave no other solution. I asked her what time they serve food until at the restaurant and she said midnight, place closed around 9:30. It said online the brewpub was open Monday and it was not. The upper deck they show to relax on was closed the entire time I was there, which I was hoping to relax on and watch the boats on the Danube. If you stay here, be careful on the wooden floor because it is extremely slippery. I love visiting brewpubs and breweries all around the world and was extremely excited to stay at one on a boat on the Danube. But the expected experience was not even close to what I got. Out of all the places I booked in Europe for my trip, this place was horrendous. I could not wait to get out of the city. You would think if your rooms are 86 degrees at night, they would at least provide a fan. Do not stay here!

Emma, the lady at the front desk, was very kibd and helpful. I think the should consider changing their carpet as it does not look clean. The bathroom cleanliness is also questionable. They dont have AC, which was fine for me, just a heads up.

Wonderful Stay!
We had an amazing stay. The boat is centrally located away from the rush of the city center and old town yet easily accessible to both by foot, tram or ride shares. There are a few really nice bars and restaurants around the boat like Au Cafe and Tyrsak. It was also great to just sip beer on the deck of the restaurant looking over at the Bratislava castle and the Danube enjoying the sunser. We spent every night just sitting outside on the deck and having a couple of drinks before bed. The room itself was clean and had a great view of the Danube and the castle. It had all the basic amenities. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Will definitely go back on our next trip to Bratislava and highly recommend the Botel.

It was a real novelty to stay in a boat hotel. The room was clean with good facilities and a boat balcony with a lovely view of Bratislava. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negatives were that the room was quite hot and the area was a bit noisy.

The best one!
don't look for any more hotels, this one is located on the bank of the Danube, with a spectacular view of the Castle, the UFO Bridge, the museum of natural history, among others. It has a very good service. It is easy to reach by bus. The distances are short in this city, so you can also walk to here if you want.

One of the best hotels I have ever been to. Amazing views and rooms, and staff are so pleasant (in both reception and the bar). This is without a doubt the best place to stay in Bratislava

We were really pleased. The place is fantastic. We had a huge balcony in front of the river, with spectacular views to the city and castle on top. It was an unforgettable experience. The hotel contacted me prior asking what type of room I wanted, all was really satisfying.

Sehr gute Lage. Die Zimmer mit Stadtblick haben einen tollen Block auf die Burg und das Plätschern der Donau auf dem Balkon ist sehr entspannend. Vom angeschlossenen Restaurant habe ich keine Geräusche gehört. Ich war 2 Nächte dort und das Zimmer wurde während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt. Für mich aus der Beschreibung nicht ersichtlich. Vom Personal habe ich beim Check In 5 Minuten jemand getroffen, ansonsten war die Rezeption unbesetzt zu den Zeiten, wo ich vorbeigekommen bin.

Fantastic location but pretty worn down. Mattresses are very soft and worn as well. Nobody at the reception in the early mornings and the late evenings. Needed to leave early and didn’t find anyone for check-out.

Schöne Sache mit dem Botel . Super das man da auch essen kann . Schöner Blick auf die Stadt . Gute Parkmöglichkeit. Es könnte etwas sauberer sein , viel Spinnenweben . Leider etwas Konversation Probleme, man spricht kein Deutsch und kein Englisch.

Quel dommage
Le cadre est magnifique avec ce botel mais quel dommage. La porte de la chambre ne se fermait pas. On nous répond qu’ils sont au courant mais ils ne font rien. A force de réclamer on nous propose une autre chambre mais nous avons dû transférer les oreillers, les couettes, et les services. Pas de petits déjeuners suite à un soucis technique et aucune solution proposée alors qu’il y a un restaurant à bord donc des machines à cafés. Un service aussi nul dans un beau cadre et des jolis chambres confortables c’est vraiment très dommage.

Vi havde glædet os til at bo på dette hotel da placeringen var flot og med morgenmad osv. Dog da vi ankommer til hotellet finder vi ud af at hotellet ikke tilbyder morgenmad, selvom vi havde betalt for det. Hotellet havde heller ikke aircondition, derfor viste termostaten at værelset var 32 grader. Som det værste virkede låsen på døren ikke. Derfor følte vi os ikke trygge på hotellet. Grundet disse mangler klagede og ville gerne have en refusion for noget af opholdet, men personalet var ikke behjælpsomme og virkede ikke engagerede, så vi fik ikke noget tilbage. Under vores ophold på 3 dage så vi ingen rengøring, selvom vi havde hængt et skilt på døren som sagde at vi gerne ville havde ordnet vores værelse

Die Matratzen sind wirklich schlecht. Extrem hart. Ich habe sehr große Schwierigkeiten gehabt, zu liegen und bin mit heftigen Rückenschmerzen aufgewacht. Außerdem fehlen Möglichkeiten im Bad, Handtücher aufzuhängen.

Ich Fang Mal mit all dem schlechten an. Das schlimmste war, dass der Eigentümer 20 Minuten vor Check Out plötzlich ohne zu klopfen ins Zimmer kam! Meine Frau war nackt! Ein absolutes No-Go!!!! Alleine dafür wäre ich am liebsten handgreiflich geworden!!!! Nun zum Rest. Kein Frühstück obwohl gebucht. Keine Reaktion auf meine Anrufe und meine slowakischen Nachrichten. Warum ich das betone!? Weil er kein Englisch spricht. Es gab kei Fön, die Klimaanlage war nicht zu regeln, keine Zimmerreinigung und das Wasser der Dusche lief ebenfalls nicht ab. Die Betten waren eine Katastrophe, da absolut durchgelegen. Wir hatten am Tag 29 Grad Außentemperatur und mussten bei rauschenden Wasser mit Türe offen schlafen. Abgesehen von den Mücken eine Zumutung. Absolut keine Empfehlung! Da kann der Blick auch noch so schön sein!

Wir sind mit Fahrräder im "Huckepack" angereist, bekamen dafür einen sicheren Stellplatz zugewiesen und konnten Bratislava auf zwei Rädern erobern 😀 Das Botel -direkt auf der Donau- entsprach genau unseren Wünschen und hatte alles, was man zum übernachten braucht, das Personal war sehr nett und entgegen kommend ... wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Dankeschön👍

Nice stay in Bratislava
Das Botel ist aussergewöhnlich, ruhig, sauber und zentral gelgen. Leider wird seit ca. 3 Monaten kein Frühstück mehr angeboten, das gibt es dafür gleich gegenüber in der Albstadt. Die Bar und das Restaurant sind Montags geschlossen, dafür war es ruhig.
