4/10 Poor

"DO NOT STAY NEAR ELEVATOR. Its not noisy people, its literally the sound of the elevator. Its like a freight train every time it goes up or down. The front desk rep told me, "some people hear the elevator but it does not bother them." Thats how they described my room. And there were no other rooms to move me to as they were sold out. This is likely an architecture problem that cannot be resolved but while you could carry on a conversation in the room, the mechanical whoosh was constant especially since it was Saturday and sold out. Insist when you book that you are no where near the elevators. I am sorry we were not able to switch hotels and were given no alternatives. They did comp our parking for the overnight. I wish I could upload the recording I made..."

"I didn't notice the location was by the train. I heard the ding ding and train going by like every 20 minutes all night. The bed was terribly ucomfortable with a big dip in it and the pillows were small and lumpy. The walls seem paper thin as i could hear a couple "enjoying themselves" all throughout the night."

"Had a pleasant stay here at La Quinta in Pomona. The location was perfect for the purpose of our visit in the area. Also, close to restaurants and gas stations. The staff were helpful. Rooms were clean, and spacious. A few things though, the phone inside the room was not working, had to use mobile phone to call assistance from front desk. And, I really hope there is a way the management or staff find a way to remind guests to be mindful of the quiet time and how they walk around their rooms, not to be jumping (not kids, can hear grown up voices) especially if they are on top floors and past 10pm. Other than those, it's a nice place to stay in when you visit the area."

"Rooms were dirty, water and AC didn’t work. Kitchenette’s were not equipped for a multi day stay. no pots, dishes etc. Photos and reviews from hotels.com definitely didn’t match the hotel. When questioned the front desk staff about issues his answer was that it was under new management and the house keeper had been ill."
