Easy walk into Bowness for the shops, bars, pubs and restaurants. Great base to explore the beautiful Lake District. Would happily stay here again."

"Lovely stay. Great room, very nice breakfast and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The christmas decorations made the whole stay feel very festive. The kids loved everything about it. The spa swimming pool was a little on the cold side but ok. "

"Very clean and smart room. Public areas are all very well kept and very nicely decorated with plenty of character. There is a very smart homely atmosphere. All the staff have been very friendly and professional. There was a maintenance problem, which couldn’t be resolved, but a suitable option was offered immediately - which we were happy with. Evening meal was very nice - a little pricey, but to be expected at a hotel in the Lake District. The gentleman running the bar (from Glasgow) was particularly chatty and attentive. Reception staff were lovely and the young lady who served us in the restaurant was very polite and professional (young lady with strawberry blonde hair tied back). Thank you - we had a very lovely stay. "
