"I had such a wonderful experience staying at the Sheraton Universal Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, kind, and attentive, which made us feel truly cared for. The location is absolutely perfect—especially if you’re visiting Universal Studios. It’s just a short walk, which made our trip so convenient and stress-free. After a long day, it was such a blessing to come back to a clean, comfortable room with beautiful views. The rooms were well-kept, cozy, and provided everything we needed to relax. I also appreciated how peaceful the atmosphere was—it felt like a little retreat even though we were so close to all the excitement. Overall, this stay was such a great experience, and I would definitely come back again. If you’re looking for convenience, comfort, and excellent service, I highly recommend the Sheraton Universal!"

"The room did not have hot water in the sinks or the shower. This was discovered late at night, and the management offered to have us shower in another room and then moved us to a new room the next day. The staff, while apologetic, did not offer any compensation for this major inconvenience until I spoke to the manager, who offered a discount and free breakfast, which was very nice. Small, weird detail: the toilet-paper holder is located so far from the toilet that you need to have the arms of a giant to reach it. Very inconvenient. Apparently, the property is slowly being remodeled, so some rooms are nice and others are still tired. The bathtub in our second room had chipped paint inside and out, the caulk on the tile was moldy, and the overall appearance was of lack of cleaning and maintenance. In my opinion, no Hilton hotel should offer this kind of accommodations to its guests. Some features of the hotel are fine, but the state of some of the rooms is sad, so I would not stay at this hotel again or recommend it to others. "

"Fantastic location in Hollywood area and so close to tons of shops and restaurants. Good parking option at the ovation if you decide not or pay the price for valet parking. Furniture conditions could be improved inside the hotel specially the doors to the rooms and the TV stands and bathrooms. I was very happy with our start otherwise."

"There was dried urine on the base of the toilet upon arrival. Not the first Hilton Garden I've stayed at, but wont be staying here again. They also charge $25 for the exact same continental breakfast bar that's complimentary at other Hilton Garden's. I'm sure things like that are discretionary decisions made by management, but it just felt unnecessary. Beds and pillows were cozy, sheets & towels were also fresh. "

"Check in was difficult just due to the layout of the hotel. They don’t allow guests to use the luggage cart, so an attendant has to go with you. This was helpful at check in due to the confusing layout, but at check out, we just needed the cart. No need for assistance and the feeling to need to tip again for something we could easily do ourselves. The added 16-18% to food and drinks isn’t gratuity to your servers and we as guests are encouraged not to tip at this establishment. We still tipped everyone, in addition to paying the added percentage as well. It feels very wrong not to tip, and adding 40% to our bill from each meal or drink, was completely unexpected and really off putting. A few lows: the hot tub was cold when the pool opened on Saturday so we didn’t get to enjoy it as that was the only time we could go during our busy trip. The beds were almost unbearably creaky with even a slight move, room service steak was undercooked, chicken strips were dry and overcooked, everything besides the chicken wings were either under cooked, over cooked or cold when we got it. Ending on the highs: all staff we interacted with were wonderful, all were friendly and helpful, location of hotel was perfect, room size and layout is great, smooth check out. Would stay again, but would not eat or drink on property due to the additional fees charged and encouragement not to tip, it’s just awkward not to tip if the service is good."
