Check in was pleasant and she helped us check in to a non-smoking room when I mistakenly chose a smoking room. It was a holiday weekend on a Saturday so it was extremely busy. The room was clean except for the bathtub. Dining was okay. Casino was okay but I’ve been spoiled by Vagas. Otherwise it was a nice experience. If I find myself in the area again I’ll likely try somewhere else.

Overall good place to stay, clean, parking was great! The only issue I had was I left prescription glasses in the room and called when I realized I had checked out and didn’t have them. They said they had already cleared out the room and didn’t find anything. We went to grab a bite to eat before heading out of town and decided to run back by the hotel and ask if they would allow me to check the room because I knew where I set them. They took me up and the housekeeper was just clearing out the room! I walked right to the shelf by the tv and there they sat! They couldn’t have checked the first time and living over 800 miles from where we stayed made it a pretty big deal!

It’s not Vegas, but that said, it was a nice visit. Great food in hotel restaurants! Hotel clean and neat. Room was very spacious. Our room was still in disarray with dirty linen on the floor when we checked in (at 8pm). There was a special event Saturday night with very loud music until midnight which was pretty irritating. But overall, I would go back.

I love this hotel/casino my only complaint and 3 star rating for condition is the jetted tub had black mold and missing grout around the tiles. I think the carpet needs changing as well. Smelled a little like stinky feet. If you can get past that this place is excellent. With a makeover it would be 5 star.

The pool was under renovation and our group had planned to spend time with each other and relaxing by the pool. We would have chosen another place to stay had we known. We just wanted simple, relaxing downtime.

Hotel is outdated which I can live with. However, we had 1 towel for two guest and it was a hassle to get more. The shower had no hot water and no water pressure. When I brought it to the hotel’s attention they did not even respond to my concerns. The conjoing rooms were unlocked and felt unsafe. The couple next to us were loud and the staff did little to help with that. Expected more from this “resort” would like a refund for so many inconveniences.

If I could give this hotel and property zero stars, I would! The room was filthy and hadn't been dusted in months. Than God, I tske clorox wipes and lydol to hotels. The bedding was gross. The catpet! Oh my God! I chose this hotel because I was in town for my college graduation from LSUS. NEVER AGAIN. Horseshoe Hotel and Casino. The place should be knocked down and start over. The entire facikty is horrible!!

Reserved non smoking room, didn’t have any room for non smoking. Room and hallway reeked of smoke, couldn’t hardly breathe. Ask to come and spray which they did but it was so overwhelming it did not help. Room smelled and looked dirty. Have stayed here several times with no problems, but unfortunately will find somewhere else to stay as we come once a month. Made me feel because we booked as they said a third party they didn’t have to honor room selection.

Too Smokey! We thought we requested a non-smoking but was given a smoking room. They would not change because I booked from a third party. Housekeeping was not provided daily. We had to request additional towels. There was no room service available. The steak house was very good with wonderful service! The casino workers were very nice.

The rooms were large, clean, and pleasing. What I did not like is not having available coffee. I feel at the rates we paid, the service should have included coffee and a free breakfast. We decided we can stay at a nearby hotel/motel which offers these conveniences at a lower price that I paid at Horseshoe Casino Hotel. I will not return. I can do better.

We had to find a last minute place to stay (2 adults and an 8 and 4 yr old). This was a clean property and well kept. It didn't smell like most casino hotels. we would stay again.

This Four-Star hotel is elegantly outfitted, maybe a little dated. I appreciated how clean the room was…housekeeping does a good job! But I like o make coffee in my room. No coffee! I have to wait until the restaurant downstairs opens at 7:30 to get my FIVE DOLLAR cup of coffee! The elevators (all of them) smelled. Kind of like BO. Very pungent. Also, I did NOT like the “resort fee.” To me, it’s just a scam to get another $20 out of customers. Won’t be back Ailey because of that.
