We loved our stay in Boone for the weekend. Property felt secluded while still being just a few minutes away from hiking and downtown. The teens enjoyed the bunk room and hot tub. We did a mix of eating out and eating in and the kitchen had what we needed for our meals at the cabin. We'd definitely stay here again.
My kids, my mom and I had a lovely few days to come together with our Boone family. The cabin was a perfect fit with plenty of sleeping space. We stayed last year and love the updates. Reading the afternoon away in the hot tub while the wind blew cold around me was my favorite part! Definitely our go to rental for Boone!
The house was just as advertised. It was easy to find and very close to Boone and the parkway. Jennifer was great to work with and very responsive. Would stay here again.
We had a fine stay here - Jennifer was very communicative and quick to respond and the check in/out process was very smooth. We unfortunately were not pleased with the cleanliness of the property - all of our towels were covered in hair (both human and dog), as were the master bedroom sheets (plus a bug). There was also a bottle under the couch left from a previous guest so it felt as if the home had not been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. All of the beds/frames were incredibly loud - we had a family with children staying in the bunk room and every time someone rolled over, all of the creaks and noises woke everyone else up. The master bed was the same way. Just something to be aware of if you’re planning on more than one person in these rooms as it was very disruptive to our stay.
Great place for a quick get-away and close to App State
This cozy little cottage fit the bill for what we needed....We made a quick trip to Boone for Family Orientation at App State. We needed a place that would allow our pup and that the location was somewhat close to the University. This little place fit the bill. We loved the heated floors in the bathrooms. The beds slept very comfortably and the kitchen had all the items we needed. We have our own VRBO, so expectations are always high and this little cottage met all the criteria with flying colors! As we have at least a four year commute to visit the new Mountaineer, I'm sure we will return. **Note that Jennifer was great to work with - when we went to what we thought was the front door, the lock would not open, I texted and quickly learned we were at the wrong door...our bad but had a good laugh and really appreciated her quick response! Thanks for a nice stay!
Cabin was cute; it was quite cold on arrival; might want to ask owners to turn up the heat a couple hours before you go. They keep it set at 50. Good thing we could jump in hot tub when we got there! Good location for tubing at Hawksnest. Area did have a lot of college students. Great restaurants and breweries nearby
