Approximately 2900 square foot coastal home situated on the 13th Tee of world-class Bodega Links golf course in South Harbour. Sleeps up to 11 persons comfortably.

It's a 5-bedroom, 3-bath home in Bodega Harbor South with spectacular views, reverse floor plan so everyone can enjoy the great views from the common living areas.

Downstairs is a full size, professionally balanced Pool Table. A full sized Hot Tub with screened fence is located in the back patio. Propane grill on wrap-around deck outside kitchen.

Master suite with Cal King, 3 bedrooms with queens, 1 bedroom with 3 single beds.
An additional twin mattress and queen futon can be made available.

Family-friendly environment with plenty of space and ocean views for everybody to be comfortable and relaxed. This home is being offered for gatherings and celebrations of families and friends but is NOT intended for 'partying'. If this is your plan, please select another property.

Wonderful large home. Easy check-in with excellent instructions on how to use everything in the house. Our teens especially loved the ping-pong and pool tables. The home is close to two trails that lead to the beach. Great view of the ocean.

Great property with a peaceful view. Nice lay out with plenty of room. Garage with pool table and ping pong made time for fun. The only recommendations is to provide storage bags and additional towels. And to let renters know there is construction across the way.

Perfect Family Reunion

The house is perfectly located for exploring the Bodega Bay area. The open layout of the dining, kitchen and living room area was very comfortable and functional for our group of 7 adults to hang out in. Being within walking distance of the beach from several approaches (via the south end of Doran beach and Pinnacle Gulch trails) was extra wonderful. Thank you for helping to make our family reunion a memorable event. 3

Fantastic House

This was the second time staying at the Grey Whale and it won’t be our last. House is great, very roomy and comfortable, the location is great and owner is responsive. We had a great time!

Relaxing Vacay in Bodega Bay

Our stay was amazing. House is spacious with ample rooms and comfy beds. Lots of room to spread out or come together for meals and activities. Area is quiet and safe with lots to do at the beach or exploring the area.

Perfect getaway

We loved our stay at the Grey Whale! The home is so peaceful, up on the hill over the ocean with amazing sunset views. The living room is so open and light, our group of 8 was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and spacious. Everything was clean, easy to use and well maintained. The hot tub was lovely and the ping pong table and billiards in the garage was lots of fun. Communication with the owner was easy and prompt. We'd love to come back.

Great family reunion

Grey Whale was a great space for our family reunion of nine adults. We loved having the pool table and the ping pong table. The kitchen was well equipped. The living room coffee table was large enough for us to work on jigsaw puzzles and we had views too! Don was very responsive and had great check-in instructions and house book.

We all had a great time visiting Bodega Bay! The home was very nice and clean. A few quirks like the stove needing to be lit manually and the microwave was difficult to open and close but we got through it. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Nice big house with beautiful views. Pinnacle Gulch within walking distance. Doran beach close by and the Armstrong Redwood Forest was a 30 minute drive. We had a wonderful time.

Excellent property for a family stay!

My family of 10 and I had a wonderful weeks vacation in this beautifully located rental. Quiet cul de sac, great for the kids riding bikes. Close access to walking trails with beautiful views. Everyone enjoyed playing ping pong and pool! Kayaking is only a few minutes away, which was the highlight of our vacation. Our family would definitely come back to this property. The owner was very accessible to our needs.

Beautiful weekend in Bodega Bay

The home has many windows with great views and decks to enjoy. The kitchen views are great. There are a few minor maintenance issues that could be addressed to improve the kitchen. The home accommodated our group of 10 adults and one baby easily.

Great stay!

Love the bright, open areas and huge kitchen! My favorite spot was the 2 lounger chairs and ottomans in front of the windows! The bedrooms and beds were comfortable. The downstairs felt a little damp (maybe benefit from damp-rid?) and the towels were rough to touch. Otherwise, we would stay again!

Family Getaway to Bodega Bay

This is the 2nd year that we have spent a family getaway over the Labor Day weekend. We enjoy spending the time together and loved engaging in friendly competition in both pool and ping pong provided at this property. We particularly loved the large open kitchen and great room allowing us plenty of space to cook, eat and spend time together. Also a great location allowing for lots of walks to the beach. Communication with the owner was great and I would definitely recommend this house for a large family like ours that had grandparents, parents, teens and a busy 10 month old baby.

Scenic, spacious house perfect for family gathering

Our family had a wonderful week-long winter holiday retreat at the Grey Whale house. We had 10 people: a mix of kids, parents, and grandparents. There was ample space for everyone to spread out. The kids especially enjoyed the game room (converted garage) as a large space to play. The kitchen is large and well equipped (some of the kitchen ware is older but functional, no issues). The views are stunning, and while the house feels remote in the quiet neighborhood, it's just minutes (by car) into the charming town of Bodega Bay, and it is easy to drive to other Russian River / Sonoma county activities. There is also a trail to access the beach (note it is a hill), or it is a very short drive to Doran Beach park. Highly recommend as a relaxing location for a family gathering. Would stay there again.

Birthday celebration with family

The location of the property was great. Very large house that was perfect for 7 adults. There were a few things that could warrant the attention of the owner. The hot tub needed attention and could use with a good cleaning. Overall, the property was good, but could do with an updating of the couches in the family room.

Everything we needed

Beautiful home. Very well stocked kitchen. Lots of room to spread out. Communication with owner was great. Clean. Slightly dated but that didn’t matter to us. The only minor problem was the BBQ was difficult to control, we couldn’t get low setting to work. It would work on high but when we tried to turn it to low it would shut off. Overall it was a great home and we really enjoyed our stay.

Great house needs a little work.

Beautiful house and great location near beaches, but it needs some attention. When we stayed, the washing machine was broken, and the dryer (we hand washed some clothes) didn't seem to dry clothes very well. In addition, the stove burners needed to be manually lit, the lower dishwasher rack kept coming off its rails, and the microwave open/close button kept getting stuck. Also, one of the bathroom drains didn't drain very well and only one of the 8 lights in the garage was functioning making playing pool and pingpong dim experiences.
