"Value hotel in centre."
Staff were welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful. Hotel was near the Duomo and the station, but not too near. Needs some redecoration and mattresses getting lumpy, but generally clean. Represented vey good value for money.

"Afordable at a prime location."
Before I booked this hotel I read some of the reviews and most of them are true about this hotel so no surprises here. I'm not disapointed, I was informed about the deficiencies of this hotel but I just needed a place to sleep that is near all the attractions. Just a word of advice if you are contemplating booking this hotel, bring your own towel as the ones the hotel provides look more dirty, stiff(they can stand on their own) and disgusting.

"Nice hotel close to the major attraction"
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on April 10 -11, 2014. This hotel has the best location: 5 minutes walk distance from the train station and near to all major attraction( 700 m to Duomo, one block to the right to St. Maria Novella). If you are traveling from one city to the other and you will spend just one or two nights there I will definitely recommend this hotel. Otherwise not. The room is not big, but OK. The bathroom is very small. If you are not size 4 -10 it will be difficult to feet in that bathroom. Everything are old. There is no holder or hooks for the towels That why I think they use the cotton starch towels like the table cloth that my grandma used. From the toilettes there is only soap. The bed is not big and it's like two twins (even smaller) mattresses put together. The mattress is hard, not very comfortable. Again if you are tall and bigger than size 10 this bed will be small for you. The staff does not speak English, but very friendly and willing to help. The breakfast is a traditional italian breakfast: small roll with butter and jam, croissant, orange juice and coffee. Everything fresh and testy. I will recommend this hotel to everyone who is not very picky, who did not spend a lot of time in the hotel and who is traveling from one city to the other.

"Wonderful place to Stay"
This is a very pleasant find in a very busy city. The front staff is excellent! Romina and Francesca are terrific. They want you to be happy and they remember everything about your needs to ensure you have what you need to make your heart sing. My partner had a birthday there and they even sent a gift of wine and a lovely book about Floence as a gift. They recommended great restaurants and Followed up to ensure we were happy. We were!

"Sweet little place right in the middle of Florence"
It was a charming place. It is small and we stayed in a room right off the front desk, but it was quiet and peaceful. With the shutters closed, we could sleep in all morning because it blocks out a great deal of light (as well as sound). We loved it here. The guy at the front desk speaks English very well, which was important for us since we stupidly decided to travel to a foreign country knowing hardly any of their language. It was very easy to get around to all of the important tourist sights on foot. We did take a cab to the Vatican but that was because we signed up for an early tour and didn't want to allot for the time it would take to walk it. We did walk back afterwards and it isn't too far at all. It is also VERY close to the train station (Santa Maria Novella). We loved Firenze and we loved Hotel Giotto. We will be coming back again in the future.

"Beautiful hotel, beautiful location"
The hotel is beautiful. It has lots of character and open spaces around the lobby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a very spacious room on the top floor with an amazing view of the Duomo from the balcony. Room had wi-Fi and a good bed. Bathrooms were a bit outdated but as the room and hotel were amazing then it did not matter very much. Hotel is in a great location- 5 mins from train station and very close to the main attractions. Everything is in walking distance from the hotel. Loved our stay there and definitely recommend it.
