"The Tarheel Suite was spacious and the furnishings were comfortable. It was an easy walk to the town and there were many restaurants around Hillwinds Inn. We loved our accommodations and quick response by the staff.
We will stay there again and highly recommend,"

"We enjoyed our stay here and would return again. Staff were helpful. The area is interesting with plenty of dining options. We had fun walking around the area. We misread the description when booking and though breakfast was included. It was available for a $15 / person fee. We took advantage of eating breakfast there as it was convenient."
"Adorable lodge with easy check-in, kind staff, and the vintage charm you'll only find in the mountains. Easy walk to shops, great food, and amazing coffee. Would stay multiple times over."
"Girlfriend trip to Blowing Rock that we have done since 2007! This rental is in walking distance to everything! This location has everything you want and need. Thank you, Karen! We will be in touch!"
"I took a girls’ trip to this resort with my 5 year old daughter and we both had the best time. The staff is so friendly and helpful. My daughter loved the pool and the playground and the beach area at the lake. The room was comfortable and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. We hope to return soon!"
"The high ratings on most travel sites for the Embers are well deserved. We found the hotel to be very clean. Ben and Thomas at the front desk were both very courteous and helpful. The only negative was jackhammering in the middle of one night by the NC DOT. But that’s not the hotels fault of course. The restaurant on site is excellent as well as the service. Will be returning!"
