Attempting to be a quirky, boutique hotel but not really making it. Didn't help that lots of renovation work going on, limited staff after midday on Saturday and through Sunday. Breakfast on a tray to the room - due to renovations. Bit noisy on Saturday evening from in house bar. Limited eating options in the area, tho decent curry at Tamarind and good meal at Raupo.
The D'Urville is a beautiful old building that has been converted to a small hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated with comfy beds and gorgeous furniture.
There is a each night in the common area. Just lovely.
There is only limited parking for 4 cars, so I would advise to check availability. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises, but they were both closed on Sunday and Monday, like most of the businesses in town?? Blenheim is a very quiet little town, but very friendly and worth a visit, just not on a Sunday or Monday.
We made an error with dates, changed to a month earlier and they said the booking was altered. Then they double charged us again.
