"This property when it first opened in the 70s I believe it was an amazing place to stay. This property is extremely clean the beds are comfortable the pillows are comfortable and it is close to. It is 14 minutes away from Dollywood 7 minutes away from most museums and coasters in Pigeon Forge. Tons of activities and fun things to do for both children and adults. The Outback Steakhouse was outstanding and I am not usually a fan of the Outback Steakhouse. The staff was wonderful. My only complaint about the this place is that it is a little outdated. If you have a family and you're traveling on a budget and you can't afford to eat all three meals out this is the perfect place for you. It is completely loaded with pots pans silverware refrigerator microwave two stove burner toaster and a kitchen nook to eat at. I will definitely be returning."

"Excellent visit. We stayed at The Tennessean for convenience to the University of Tennessee tour we had scheduled. We appreciated the local recommendations for what to see and where to eat. The shuttle around town was a bonus so we didn't have to drive. Loved the style of the hotel, and lattes at the coffee shop downstairs were delicious! I was legit sad to leave."

"Fantastic location for all downtown activities. The hotel was so beautiful we wished to stay longer. The only thing we did not like was the included (great) breakfast was from 6:30-9:00 sharp. They literally pull the coffee urns at 9:00. They want you up and out early! "

"Nice hotel very clean great amenities. Only complaint they need more bathroom hooks and a bathroom fan. Also the indoor pool smells very strong of chlorine and no matter what you read the pools ARE NOT heated. I saw several people ask or comment this I’m here to tell you they are COLD. But it’s very nice and I will definitely be staying again. "
