Please read this description in its entirety: Experience the 1920's in the 2020's in this hundred-year old home, authentically restored but with modern amenities. The home features a spacious living and dining area, sun room, two outdoor sitting areas, a spacious yard, and quiet bedrooms.

This Spanish Colonial Revival bungalow is situated in the beautiful Gulf Hills community, and is a five-minute walk from the Gulf Hills Resort, which provides golf and tennis, and Italy Terrace restaurant and bakery. Local wildlife, including blue herons, egrets, box turtles, and numerous bird species inhabit Gulf Hills. This neighborhood is ideal for walking and running, and Gulf Hills neighbors are friendly to visitors.

This property is 2.2 miles from downtown Ocean Springs restaurants, bars, boutiques, beaches, and Saturday farmers' market, and 5 miles from downtown Biloxi casinos, bars, restaurants, MGM stadium and beaches. Restaurants and easy access to golf, tennis, kayaking, and fishing are a just a few minutes' walk away. This bungalow is also within easy driving distance of Gulf Islands National Seashore's Davis Bayou, Walter Anderson Museum and Shearwater Pottery, Biloxi Seafood Museum, casinos, Shepard State Park, Ship Island Excursions, Tuxachanie Trail and much more. Keesler Air Force Base is a fifteen-minute drive away.

Pets are definitely welcome!

Caretaker maintains an office in a camper on site, separate from house, and stores tools in the basement. He will come and go at times, but will not disturb guests. Inquiries received after 7 p.m. will be answered the following morning.

Always a pleasant stay.

This is our second visit here and we are never disappointed. The location is nice and quiet but close to activities. The price is very reasonable for the location and the accommodations are 5 star.

The Perfect Stay

We had a wonderful stay! The house is super cute - my wife was completely obsessed with the sunroom, and we both loved the thoughtful touches like the vintage photos and sweet notes placed throughout the home. Perfect location - just minutes from the golf course, beach, and tons of great restaurants. Carrol was a fantastic host - excellent communication and incredibly kind. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Fishing trip

We booked this beautiful house for an annual deep sea fishing trip, the house was great so was location and the host was very responsive and hospitable. 10/10 would definitely stay there again.

Wedding getaway

Property very close to the country club so it was a perfect location to stay at while attending a family members wedding. The property was full of historical items which my husband loved and my teen loved to be able to have some privacy in the back room.

Great Place

The charm and space are definite wins. This location is minutes away from downtown Ocean Springs, which is a charming area. The house is rich in history and the host has so many welcoming amenities available for you. My family is already asking to stay here again.

Great Stay

They property is a gem from the past. We truly enjoyed the vintage appliances and feel of the home. The property manager was very responsive to all of our questions and we thouroughly enjoyed our stay. We would absolutely consider booking this location again in the future.

Christmas Near Home

Very unique home with plenty of history to view and read. Spacious living area to relax or congregate. We spent most of our time at a relative's house that was within walking distance. The location and atmosphere were excellent. Hope to stay here again!

Lovely location

The ambience of this location was so serene. We really enjoyed the interior. It made us feel like we were spending the weekend in a museum. The history of the home had us very intrigued. We did not have to contact the host a single time as everything was so perfect. We will definitely return.

Lovely stay

We spent spring break at this lovely bungalow which is just as pictured. The home had everything we needed plus more. Carroll welcomed us and our 3 dogs. Neighborhood was perfect for walks with the pups and really enjoyed reading on the balcony. Thank you for everything, Carroll!

Great place to stay

This place was completely Awesome The location was perfect. We loved it. So close to the downtown area, which was full of shops and restaurants. Went to the French market, which I highly recommend (support the locals), great fresh product, and great people. The description fits the house to the tee. So charming and stacked with all amenities that you would need. This place was also super clean. My wife and I celebrated our 31st anniversary here and we cannot wait to come back.

Sweet Bungalow

We have stayed here for the same weekend for 3 years. We consider it our home away from home. Such a quaint home. Location is great. Close (walking distance) to Gulf Hills Hotel and Capones. Carroll is very responsive to any calls. We will book again next year!

Lovely Home

My family absolutely LOVED this beautiful home. The historic notes and beautiful antiques were so much fun to look at and read about. The space was lovely. We spent many hours on both porches, drinking coffee, or having a glass of wine and catching up with family. It was a lovely family wedding weekend and Carol’s home is perfect.

Amazing

We couldn’t have enjoyed this place more! Very unique and special house. Loved the history of it. Great location, very nice neighborhood and scenic. We loved walking around the area. Wonderful living/ dining room. Lots of room for our family of 6 and dogs. The Sun room had so much light. Beds were comfortable and our 6 year old granddaughter loved all the board games! Highly recommend.

Fairy Tale

We shall return to this charming little cottage. It has all of the comforts of a home away from home and the furnishings and decor of simple days gone past. My only complaint was the weather, nobody can control that…It would have been lovely to have all of the french doors and windows open to feel those gulf breezes. Perhaps next time. I highly reccomend these accommodations.

Didn’t want to leave!

This historic house is filled with charm. We loved the sun room with day bed. Kitchen has a vintage Tappan gas range that was a pleasure to cook on/in. Spanish-style architecture included graceful arches and stucco walls. Lots of great reading material in book cases. House is in a wonderful old country club neighborhood. Owner Carroll is a superb host. Very focused on guests’ experience, and has provided so much in the house for guest use including bicycles. House is a five-minute drive from gorgeous downtown Ocean Springs. We lived it all, and will be back!

Charming getaway

We had a fantastic stay at Juanita’s Bungalow! The charm of this home brought me back in time. My children were awestruck with all the little details around the 100 year old home. The bungalow had everything we needed for a short getaway. Wonderful hospitality! No need for basics.. Carroll supplies that for you. I love that in a rental. The neighborhood is beautiful as well. Felt very safe being there alone with my kids. We will definitely be back.
