"The room is aged and the entire hotel needs a complete update and refurbishment. But it is clean and good for a weekend stay. Just note that somethings appear to be disintegrating from age. Toilet handles, holes and scratches, peeling wallpaper, etc. Certainly not the worst hotel you could stay in but it's far from its glory days. Great location. Slow elevators. "

"I was welcomed like a friend the moment I walked through the door, unpretentious and genuinely warm. The house is charming and full of history. It's a Victorian home built by a shipbuilder in the 1800s. There's something pretty special about staying somewhere with that much history. The comfort matched the character of the place, and the homemade baking alone is worth the visit. When I had to leave before the crack of dawn to catch a flight, there was a box waiting for me with a packed breakfast that prompted strangers in the airport to ask me where it came from. Mahone Bay is a gem of a town, and this place sits right in the heart of it. Honestly, I'd go back without a second thought."
