The Bear Hug Hollow is an authentic mountain house located on the edge of the National Forest. It is suitable for the most adventurous guests looking for local flavor and real Big Bear experience. The cabin is around 2200 square feet with a variety of outdoor spaces so you'll have plenty of space to unwind.

Is Bear Hug Hollow the right place for children?
We've had several families stay with us, and they've found Bear Hug Hollow perfect for children. There's ample entertaining space in the living room and the game room serves as the perfect layer for kids fun. It features a foosball table, and a smart t.v. for movie night.
Can we cook at Bear Hug Hollow?
Yes! You'll love the flexibility of being able to go out or stay in to cook. The kitchen has pots, pans, plates, glassware, utensils. If you're unsure about what we might have, ask us. The gas range and oven gives you the ability to whip up a meal or a beautiful brunch. You'll have no problem feeding the hungry bears.
We provide a coffeemaker, toaster, and microwave.
Should I bring linens or towels?
Nobody wants to travel with their sheets and pillowcases. Our linens will rival any hotel, and our cleaning crew will take care of everything when you leave. We provide linens for all beds and we wash every piece of bedding before your visit. We'll also make sure there are plenty of towels for everyone.
What's the television/movie situation?
T.V. is optional in Big Bear, but you won't miss anything on our 55 inch H.D. T.V. Want to watch a movie? You've got Netflix, and Youtube T.V. There's plenty to watch if you want to.
Please note: The outside of the cabin is monitored by video.
Guests will have access to the entire house, and outdoor areas.
We provide a mountain getaway plenty of privacy. If something comes up or if you have questions, we are always available. We're here to help you have a can't miss Big Bear Experience.
Bear Hug Hollow is located in a quiet neighborhood and has easy access to all Big Bear attractions. Our guests love the peaceful vibes they feel at the cabin while having easy access to everything Big Bear has to offer.
Cars, boats, bikes, skis, or snowshoes are the preferred methods of transportation.
Quiet hours in this neighborhood start at 10 p.m. and are strictly enforced.
The fireplace at this location is not functional. Early Check In-Late Check Out:
We appreciate that you'd like to spend as much time as you can at our house and at times we can provide an early check in and late checkout for an additional fee. If you've not paid this fee and had it confirmed by us that you can check in early or checkout late you're not permitted to check into the cabin before 3 p.m. and must checkout at 11 a.m. If you enter before 3 p.m. or stay beyond 11 a.m. we reserve the right to charge your security deposit.
Smoking: Please, please do not smoke in our cabin. If the cleaning crew smells smoke after your visit there is an excess charge of two hundred and fifty dollars.
Trash: All trash and recycling must be removed by you to one of the 2 disposal stations in Big Bear. We apologize for the inconvenience but this is a city ordinance. Fire House #2 (across from the Civic Center on Big Bear Blvd.) Big Bear Disposal, 41974 Garstin Road
The maximum number of cars we can accommodate is two. Any violation of this will result in a loss of security deposit.
The maximum number of people the cabin can accommodate is ten. Any violation of this at any time during your stay can result in eviction and loss of security deposit.
