"Usual YHA setup but in interesting and peaceful location on a private courtyard, nice and quiet even in the heart of Berwick.
Breakfast made to order and very good, includes coffee or you can have one made on an espresso machine for an up charge. Private rooms available with en-suite was a good balance of value for money and privacy"

The Bamburgh Castle Inn - The Inn Collection Group
8/10 Good
"The room on the Annex had paper thin walls and we could hear conversations next door. Fortunately for most of the week neighbours retired early. The last night the occupants came back drunk and played loud music along with foul language until 1am. Not ideal and if this had been the first night we would have requested a move. Otherwise all good"
"Clean room and bathroom, comfortable beds and a decent TV,nice views over farmland . Food was nice especially the full English, the girls at the bar and waiting tables were very friendly, right on the A1 but still quiet, would recommend,, especially if you like dogs5"
"We have just stayed here for 4 nights and would highly recommend. The room was very clean and had everything we needed .Even though we were on the ground floor at the back we did not experience any noise from the bar or restaurant. In fact the only noise we heard was the cars on the gravel in the car park.
The food was excellent there was so much choice for breakfast. The evening menu was amazing all locally sourced food. We tried several dishes and all of them were so tasty and the portions were just right.
This place is a little gem in a lovely quiet village. If you are visiting this part of the country stay here you won’t be disappointed!"
"We loved our stay in one of the lakeside cabins, the view was great and the room was very clean. Breakfast was perfect, coffees were great and the staff were very pleasant attentive to us throughout our stay. The evening menu looked lovely so I’d love to come back to the hotel to try the food on a night. We had some cocktails in the bar area once we returned from our meal and they had a perfect variety of classics and signatures so we loved testing a few of these. The girl on the bar was very helpful and friendly, gave great recommendations.
Our only negative was the hot water - in the cabins we filled the bath for 20 mins as it says, then when we topped it up there seemed to be no more hot water left after running it for longer which was unfortunate but of course this didn’t ruin our stay as we still thoroughly enjoyed."
"Our room was very beautiful with a lovely view. The service was excellent. We had a great dinner at Charlie’s the first night and our server, Euan, was really great. The complimentary breakfast was appreciated. My husband forgot some important papers on the desk in our room, today, after checking out, and we are having problems connecting with the staff there. Nobody is answering the phone or returning our calls."
"Lovely accommodation & nice to have use of the kitchen. Breakfast also good. All the staff were extremely friendly & helpful.
Unfortunately, we were in one of the accessible rooms, which wasn’t great. The bathroom stank of drains which wasn’t pleasant. However, as soon as we mentioned it to the staff they immediately gave us some air freshener to help.
Great location & in a different room we would have given it an even higher score!"
Stable Cottage - spacious one level cottage with private courtyard.
10/10 Excellent
"A very comfortable cottage with plenty of room, although the shower/toilet is relatively small and cosy. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, etc. Liz the host is very approachable and responsive to requests."
Rose Cottage - Charming Cottage in the Grounds of a Private Country House Estate
10/10 Excellent
"It’s our second visit to this host. Last year we stayed in the Stable cottage, this year we stayed in Rose Cottage. The entire estate is beautiful and peaceful, the grounds are immaculate. Rose cottage is so pretty. Inside is well equipped and comfortable. There’s an abundance of wildlife around, we’ve seen geese, rabbits, hares, squirrels, deer etc. We will definitely be back next year."
