"The Pianelle Resort is beautiful and is in a great location in Matera, with many restaurants and attractions easily walkable from there. The rooms are spacious, beautiful and very unique. Shuttle service from a parking garage is easy, so visitors should not be concerned about not being able to park at the resort. The front office staff was great and their recommendations of restaurants and tours were spot-on. The morning breakfast was excellent with plenty of delicious options. We highly recommend. "

"This resort is about 15 minute drive from the historic district of Matera. I had stayed in the center of town in the other cities we visited in Puglia. I liked the quietness of this location. The room was elegantly furnished with high arching ceiling. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was great. "

"Right in the heart of the historical city of Matera you will find Cavoso Hotel. We stayed in one of the cave rooms which was much more airy and larger than I expected. The room had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. The hotel gives you a choice of breakfast in your room or the dining area. We tried both and enjoyed the variety. The view from the hotel is simply stunning with an incredible view of one of the famous stone churches on the hill. All the staff at Hotel Caveoso were helpful and had wonderful tips for dining and touring options. Everything we wanted to see in Matera was within walking distance from the hotel. Overall a wonderful stay."
