Historical and hip
Interesting historical hotel. Didn't use the pool, but looked cool. The loft room was different, but the ceiling is low at the top and kept bumping our head.

I’ve been to Berlin many times to see family and this is my first trip to Hotel Oderberger. It’s a hidden gem. Great for short visits. Conveniently placed. Breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get. Better value in the numerous cafes in the surrounding streets. Pool and bar facilities are excellent.

Decent Central Berlin Stay
Our stay was solidly decent. The location is good. The room was a bit funny, the bed is up a set of stairs and in a loft with a very low ceiling. The room was too hot for our taste but we couldn’t work out how to cool it down. Generally a positive experience.

Perfect Base for Exploring Berlin
The Oderberger is a beautifully restored historic building in a neighborhood designed for walkable exploring and dining. The rooms are pristine and comfortable, breakfast is delicious and filling, the pool is sparkling clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Trams and train stations are close by to get you wherever you want to go.

Very original hotel with a fantastic pool. The water in the pool was too cold for me. Also the hotel needs to have a gym, an essential these times. The breakfast was excellent and the room quite large and comfy.

Our room was comfortable and quiet. We had a loft bedroom - the ceiling was quite low, we’re really short so it wasn’t a problem but if you’re tall you might want to book one of the other options. Helpful and friendly staff, amazing neighbourhood - many nearby restaurants, cafes, shops, parks. We were surprised to see so many vegan/vegetarian options. Expedia booking experience was weird - we received all of the arrival and checkout instructions a day or so after we had checked out.

Delightful and unique hotel. Stayed for three nights and was sad to go. Historical property in a fantastic very walkable neighborhood. Comfortable beds and linens and a fantastic shower. Staff were kind, patient and always helpful and responsive. Can’t wait to return!

The location is great because there are a lot of restaurants in the area. The service was spectacular and the room was clean. However, the size of the room was small by American standards, so know that going in.

Hotel is eclectic and in area that has restaurants and bars. Close to the tram and subway station. The room is basic. The pillows are so flat that they are totally useless. The comforter barely covers a grown man. The nightstand and a couple of other things in the room were broken.

Great hotel and location. the only bad thing was that the pool and sauna was out of use the whole of my 3 night stay due to a conference.

Stunning conversion of old public baths
The Oderberger is a stylish conversion of the old East German swimming baths. The rooms are comfortable conversions of the old building. Some rooms are "double story" with the bed upstairs in a sort of loft. The restaurant is a stunning 3 story conversion of the old boiler house. It is situated in Prenzlauer Berg - a vibrant residential and commercial area in former East Berlin with easy public transport connections to other sights in Berlin. Breakfast is an excellent buffet. There is a small bar - and, of course, there is the swimming pool which is open to residents and the public.

Hall doors closing were very loud in the morning, as were the bathroom doors, which are cool in theory (old swimming pool cabin doors) but snap shut with a noisy bang. I was very irritated that we needed to pay for the pool. The whole cool factor of the place is the pool and they make a huge deal about it in the websites and advertising. Then they say it’s 5 euros to use it for guests. Just increase everyone’s room by 5 and make it free. It’s not such a spectacular pool that you need a separate charge.

This was an excellent place to stay in Berlin. I was studying for a week at a language school nearby, so the location was perfect. Really comfortable, good breakfasts and lovely staff.

The room was a loft with the bedroom upstairs. The building is quite old but well preserved and renovated. The only issue I have and anyone over 5'5" is the upstairs ceiling is about that same height. The service was great and always there for us.

The location is great. Towel service for the pool could be improved. The property is a renovated public bath house and it is a beautiful renovation of a late nineteenth century building. Rooms are very cozy and functional, with adequate basic amenities.

Comfortable hotel, for non swimmers.
Hotel Oderberger is well located in an area of good local restsurants, bars and shops, Just out of the main city Hub. Breakfast and breakfast staff are excellent. Bar staff are also friendly and professional. The room was generous and the bed comfortable. Pillows a bit strange...large and soft ? Front desk staff are not particularly helpful or welcoming, and need some training in customer service. Pool is often not available as it is also used as function / reception / conference space, which takes precedence whenever yhey get a bookjng. So don't book it solely on the hope of getting a swim. Generally a good comfortable hotel, in a nice area.

Boutique hotel in great location
This is the second time I have stayed at Hotel Oderberger and it didn't disappoint. I love this part of Berlin and the hotel is in the perfect location to explore. The room was bright, airy and with a huge shower. Breakfast has good options for everyone. And the small bar is perfect for a nightcap. Just a few minutes walk from the hotel is the Kulturbrauerei with its wonderful food trucks at the weekend. And a little further away is the Kollwitzplatz weekend market. And, of course, the flea market is also just a few minutes walk away. And Kastanienallee has great public transport links.

The hotel is idiosyncratic with former changing rooms as bedrooms. It is very comfortable. The portions at dinner were small but btreakfast was excellent.

Quirky hotel, with interesting room and design incorporating old portions of the building (doors, walls fixtures) into modern design. Love the pool (wish it were open all of the time; they close it for events). Also love the breakfast.
