The staff were very kind, welcoming, and always helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the great service and felt very comfortable during our visit. Have stayed in hotel previously & this is first time we’ve had room facing onto street (#4) not good, can be noisy throughout night with people “partying “!! Strange that windows had no privacy screen/blind which meant choice of daylight or privacy-not ideal when shower screen beside window!!"

"I loved the look of this hotel - just like the photos but had all mod cons - heating, a fridge etc and the bed was really comfortable. The location was also fantastic - close enough to all the main tourist sites but enough away from it to be really quiet. The staff were welcoming, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. I would definitely stay here again. "

"It was our fourth visit to Martin’s Relais. We didn’t require breakfast so couldn’t mark, not because there has been anything wrong with it, but because we like to try different places. We didn’t really use any facilities so again couldn’t comment. The room was comfortable and shower was very good. We had a minor issue with unemptied bins and unreplenished supplies on the first day (we had similar issues last stay) and someone else was at the desk with the same problem.Our main issue was that the noise from the road especially trucks & motorcycles from early in the morning which disturbed our sleep, we were in room 31. We mentioned this at checkout but the response was dismissive. We haven’t had problems in the past so next time we would request a quieter room such as a canal room."
