For a relaxing and convenient stay in Becena, the best area to stay is within the village centre or just on its outskirts.

Becena village itself is small and compact, offering a peaceful atmosphere. It's characterised by traditional Asturian architecture, with stone houses and narrow lanes. The heart of the village often features a small church or a central square, and you'll find a few local eateries and shops here. It's well-connected by local roads, making it easy to access.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will appreciate staying directly in Becena. The quiet surroundings and the opportunity for leisurely strolls through the village provide a superb backdrop for a romantic break. You're also well-placed for scenic walks in the surrounding countryside and accessing the nearby Picos de Europa National Park for more adventurous outings.

Families will find the outskirts of Becena particularly appealing. Many accommodations here offer more space, often with gardens or larger grounds, providing room for children to play.

The best time to visit Becena is generally during the late spring, summer, and early autumn months, from May to October, when the weather is most agreeable for outdoor activities.

For those planning to explore the Picos de Europa National Park and enjoy hiking, July and August offer the warmest temperatures and the least chance of rain. This makes it ideal for accessing higher altitude trails and enjoying the area's natural beauty. Many local businesses, especially those suiting tourists, are fully operational during this peak season.

If you prefer a quieter experience with pleasant weather, May, June, September, and October are excellent choices. The temperatures are still mild, and the landscapes are particularly beautiful, whether it's the lush greenery of spring or the rich colours of autumn.
