"Lovely hotel with friendly staff , the first thing that I noticed was the entrance looking down , it looked amazingly clean and welcoming. The lift was on the left side soon as you walk in which makes it easier to locate , our room was clean and has comfortable beds and was very roomy , the bathroom was spacious and clean , the staff that clean the rooms do an amazing job , we had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again ."

Nestled right in the heart of Ambleside, the hotel is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Our room overlooked a gorgeous waterfall, and waking up to the soothing sound of flowing water and a view of the hills was pure magic. It felt like a peaceful, luxurious escape wrapped in nature. The Room: Wow – our room was massive! Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and designed for real comfort. It had everything we needed and more. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the little touches made a big difference. Honestly one of the best hotel rooms we’ve stayed in. "Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return. We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *"

The lodge itself is as described and in a lovely quiet setting, ideal base for seeing the north lakes.Lodge had everything you need for your break, local shops are 15minute drive away or pick up what you need on the way home from your day out. If you want a nice peaceful break this is the place. Would recommend."
