"We celebrated my father's 80th birthday at the cottage and really enjoyed the weekend. The deck overlooking the cove and the cove acces was great. The dogs loved retrieving dummies in the water. The cottage is a classic, old school Maine cottage which was fun and reminded me of Maine when I was a kid."

"Starting with the negative: The first thing I did was lean on the flagpole, placed next to the porch stairs banister, and fall. It is rotted, and not attached. We lashed it in place with rope. The photo which advertises this house is incomplete. Somehow the house next door, within a few feet of the property, is not shown. The house appears to stand alone in a lovely forest. It’s just optics, but it matters.One and one half bathrooms are not enough for the number of bedrooms.There is no dishwasher.There is one thin quilt per bed, not enough for a chilly summer night.On the plus side: the large, pleasant porch, with plenty of chairs, looks into a leafy woods.The hot water is quick and plentiful.The neighbors are nice.The birch-branch staircase is just beautiful.Once our family gets together, we have fun, no matter what the surroundings."
