If you have time stop by this museum. Learn how the Chinese landed in Johor Bahru and how the contributed to the local economy and went through hell during the Japanese occupation.

Authentic Hainanese Chicken Chop since 1946. Try also the toast bread and local coffee

Heard that the curry fish head here is superb. I haven't try it cos of the long queue when I was there. The many people waiting is a testimony by itself.
