"If this was my local pub, I’d be happy - lovely staff, friendly clientele, a fine

and the food is acceptable ‘pub grub’ however.... the stay in ‘family room’ was not good. The room was upstairs in the pub and initially no key supplied as ‘nobody goes up here’. The room was akin to a store room with a couple of beds chucked in. There was an oversized old armchair blocking a chunk of room and a huge wardrobe which you couldn’t use as it was stuffed with Christmas decorations and a skeleton...
