"Loved the design of the villa and the layout of the resort. Staff were all nice and friendly. Staff dropped us off with a club car at the elephant park next to the resort and we walked back after having some good time with the beautiful animals. Breakfast was good and the two pools were very big. I booked our stay just before our stay as I wasn’t really impressed by the pics here, especially the pool. It turned out to be a very beautiful resort to stay for a while. Yes for next time."

"The staff were absolutely incredible - beautifully warm, friendly and so thoughtful and helpful. It's the reason we are returning in six months. The location is idyllic, kept pristine by the hard working staff. The location - if seeing and listening to the sounds of running streams, breathing fresh air is your thing, then Proud Phu Fah Mae Rim is for you. The rooms are gorgeous and the view is of mountains, as far as the eye can see. The food - I used to visit Northern Thailand regularly years ago and one thing I love (apart frim the Thai peopl) is the fresh and tasty food. This trip 20 years later is no different. Thank you staff at Proud Phu Fah our holiday was so special because of all of you ❤️ "

"This hotel experience is not reflective of the price and we checked out several days early as had quite simply had enough. It has the potential to be really good but it needs a lot of investment: main issues were: the shower in bathroom not fit for purpose, a cold trickle that did not improve throughout stay, pool looked cold and unclean - no guests used this throughout our time there. Breakfast was similarly cold and badly cooked/poor ingredients. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere (this is just an observation as not something that can be rectified) but this meant every trip out and back led to arguments with taxi drivers who wanted double the app set price as they didn’t think it worth their time otherwise. Everything is very dated. The atmosphere of the hotel was depressing, I saw just several other people sitting in silence eating their breakfasts, looking into the distance and I think, wondering like me, when their pain and suffering would be over. The hotel is not reflective of the pictures or the other reviews in my opinion so I would tread carefully when booking, "

"This area was absolutely gorgeous! It was remote and very peaceful. The staff was above and beyond in their care and helpfulness. We were a little confused on how to leave this area as there was a small landslide that blocked one of the roads and one of the owners took the time not just to explain but drove in front of us until we were back on the main road guiding us the whole way. I have traveled many places around the world and this has to be by far my most favorite place I have stayed. We will absolutely be returning "
