The staff were very good in every way, but the duvets do not have a cover, just a sheet under and a sheet over meaning during our sleep; we would touch the uncovered dirty duvet surface which many many others had touched during their sleep! "A very restful setting. This hotel takes advantage of the Kok River which flows throughs Chiang Rai. The rooms are in a beautiful garden setting. They are clean, air-conditioned, and well maintained. Staff are delightful. It is a 5 minute ride ~2km from the clock tower in the centre of town. Transport and tours to any location can be arranged from the desk. We would be delighted to stay here again."
"Nak Nakara is a very nice hotel, reasonably priced and has a great pool (though we were there during rainy season and only got to enjoy it for a couple of brief spells). The breakfast buffet was terrific, with a separate "egg station" that prepared omelettes, other types of eggs, and pancakes and waffles. (My only wish would have been to add mushrooms to the omelette choices, but the omelettes were done nicely.) A very friendly staff, and though our booking was originally for one night, we decided we liked the place well enough to add a second night, which I booked at the front desk and even got a bit of a discount (equal to about 400 baht) off what the first night cost. We come to Chiang Rai often enough that we'd definitely consider staying at Nak Nakara again."
"La Patta is a very nice hotel, clean and in excellent condition. The staff are super friendly and nice. Their breakfast is great. They also offer free of charge drinks and snack, coffee and sandwiches after 1 PM. It is in great location. You can go to the walking street on the weekend in a minute walk. The night market is also close. I highly recommend it. "
