Having recently experienced the bland corporate feel of the Marriott in Phuket Town, it was with some doubt we approached our stay here. However, it could not have been more different, it was a truly wonderful and relaxing experience. Every member of staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful, for which they deserve much credit. Despite being quite a large hotel it has the feel and approach of a small family business. We will definately return.

A beautiful hotel with great amenities, comfort and delicious food. Spacious rooms with amazingly comfortable beds and superbly located. The Crown jewel of this hotel however is its staff. Every single member of staff went the extra mile to ensure an amazing stay and nothing was too much trouble. Can’t wait to book this hotel again next time we’re in Chiang Rai. Very highly recommended.

The property is located ar riverside, beautiful river view and garden view in Hotel. The hotel designer makes the living environment suitable for all culture background traveller. It makes feeling like in a green zone suround by green water, tall trees, wood bridges, large glass law. It is clean, peacful and enjoyful. The property laundry service is cheap and fast. I am very enjoyed time for these two days.

Most amazing resort anywhere, anytime!

The location and grounds around the giant rain trees. The size, style and cleanliness of the room, the breakfast and most of all the amazing staff. The lady that checked us in and took us to our room, the front desk and bell staff, the restaurant staff were all top notch. Although Marriott owns the hotel you get Asian style friendliness and service vs. the "service" you get from Marriott in the US. The the hotel was obviously designed and built before Marriott got involved. The front desk staff set us up with some great drivers/guides that drove all around the amazing region. Although it is a quiet river setting you are only minutes from town via TukTuk or private car. The fare to the airport about $2.50 and although the airport is close, flight noise was not an issue. Even at resort prices which probably double the in town prices food and drink were delicious and still much less than what you would pay for average food in the US. We stayed a few extra days and were upgraded from the normal mega room to the super mega room. The contemporary style is out of Architectural Digest and unlike some even 5 star room there were no rough edges or signs of wear in our room. The 3 level infinity pool with the infinity river lagoon pool and then the river with all the landscaping. You need to visit there to appreciate the design, attention to detail and superb maintenance. Even the maintenance stop there work to greet you. DON"T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE IN CHIANG RAE!

A estadia no Le Méridien Chiang Rai trouxe impressões bastante positivas, mas também alguns pontos de atenção. O café da manhã é um dos destaques: farto, variado e de excelente qualidade, atendendo bem às diferentes preferências. A arquitetura do hotel é agradável e acolhedora, embora não transmita a sofisticação de um empreendimento de luxo. A localização merece menção especial. Embora o hotel esteja um pouco afastado do centro da cidade, esse aspecto é amplamente compensado pela atmosfera tranquila às margens do rio. O paisagismo é de tirar o fôlego e torna a experiência de hospedagem única, sobretudo para quem busca contato com a natureza e momentos de contemplação. O staff mostrou-se sempre simpático e prestativo, e os amenities oferecidos no quarto são de boa qualidade, agregando conforto à estadia. Entretanto, o restaurante do hotel me causou certa decepção quanto ao custo-benefício. Os preços praticados são significativamente mais altos quando comparados à média da Tailândia, o que destoa do padrão local e não encontra justificativa proporcional na experiência gastronômica oferecida. Em resumo, o Le Méridien Chiang Rai proporciona uma estadia confortável, com excelente café da manhã, bom atendimento e uma localização encantadora junto ao rio, mas deixa a desejar no equilíbrio entre preço e experiência no restaurante

The only complaint I had was that the mattress was too soft but the staff kindly replaced it with a firmer one.
