Beautiful House Overlooking Lost Creek Wilderness

At the end of a 2 mile gravel mountain road, custom built, full view of mountains and river valley, private. This 2010 house has nothing behind it except mountains and forest. Look down the property to the Pike National Forest and to the North Fork of the South Platte River below. There is mountain hiking on the property and all around the area with fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing nearby. There are only four other houses at the end of this road. This property does not just have views--it is in the 360 degree view. You are a part of the scenery. With 7.4 acres touching the Pike National Forest just go out the back door and view the beauty of the Colorado Rockies. This property welcomes writers, artists, lovers, hikers, anglers, and all those who want a special retreat away from life's stresses and the hustle-bustle of city life. Take a bath in the 6 foot 7 jet spa for two located in the master bath, look out the window and have a glass of wine. Sit on the balcony and look at the 180 degree mountain views. Rock on the back patio in huge log rockers or relax on a lounger.

Hikers and Anglers Welcome: The house overlooks The Lost Creek Wilderness. Hike the property--on one side, climb down the rock outcrop. On the other side, climb through a dense alpine forest to the plateau below overlooking the river valley. There are many other places to hike. Anglers can fish in the river below but access is from Bailey and must be on public land. Or you can go to Pine, Shawnee, Boxwood Gulch, Blue River, Long Meadow, Chatfield Reservoir or many other fishing holes near and far. For details, check with The Knotty Pine in Bailey.

The place was beautiful and the view was amazing. Great place to relax and the hot tub at the end of a day of hiking was an awesome way to unwind. Waking up to the mountains always set the day off perfect. Great place to stay. Definitely keeping this on my list for future stays.

Highly recommend! The house was beautiful and clean with amazing views. Definitely recommend a larger vehicle to get to the house since it’s a bit bumpy but we had a small car and survived. We would definitely stay here again!

Second time we stayed here and everything was clean and well maintained. Great view. Internet was a little slow through satellite, but to be expected on location. Could still stream through Roku. Direct TV onsite.

Property was well kept and was well stocked with items normally needed in a vacation home. Everything that a family would want for a summer or winter vacation was available. Sleds, badminton, pool, darts, all kinds of board games. You name it it was there. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for relaxing get away.

This house is amazing. They views from this property are breathtaking! The owners are awesome and this house has everything you could ever need. We will ABSOLUTELY stay here again, in fact a friend of ours that came up to visit while we were there and lives in Denver took all the info to book this for all her family at Thanksgiving. Thank you so much for an amazing getaway Jaron and Jeffery!

Came from NC to see Billy Strings at Red Rocks and wanted a great place to stay. This place exceeded my expectations! Absolutely immersed in the mountains, we got to wake up every morming to a beautiful landscape. It even snowed one day in the middle of May(we don't get that in NC). The house was also very clean and the owner had everything ready for us. If I ever come back to CO, I would definitely rent this house again!

Two years ago, we stayed here and enjoyed it so much, we decided to come again. Was a little worried that the second time might not quite live up to the first but it actually exceeded our expectations and was every bit as good as we remembered it, maybe even better! Love the beautiful views and the home is extremely comfortable. Drove to Vail for lunch. Breakfast at Cutthroat Café down the road. Hiked down behind the house and to the top of Mount Bailey. Trip went by far too quickly and we already look forward to returning one day.

10/10

First time staying at a mountain house and I along with friends were absolutely blown away by the views. The first day driving in was difficult because of a snow storm leaving behind ice on the roads. 4wheel drive is a must! The home was clean and the fireplace along with the hot tub got plenty of use. Don't expect extreme internet speeds here considering you are in the wilderness but it's fast enough to check emails and get work done.

My wife and I worked remotely from this home for the week. Great spot. There is a limit on internet usage that we were not planning on (used my ATT plan and my wife used the house wifi). Overall the house was amazing and VERY well stocked. The kitchen had everything (and was in great condition). Lotsa puzzles in the pantry also if you are a puzzle person. Comfy beds also (which is something you do notice as you get older like us). The housekeeper/cleaner was top notch also and it was obvious she took great pride in her work. Definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area / wanting somewhere cool outside of Denver.

This house is amazing, very well stocked with everything you need for cooking and relaxing. Very clean and in top condition. The road to get to the house is a little intimidating at first, but we adjusted throughout the week. It would be best if you have a rental car to get an SUV. The views of the mountains are amazing, I could just sit and look out the window or from the patio for hours. The hot tub was just what we needed after traveling and hiking. Will definitely stay at this place again when back in Colorado! We did three shows at Red Rocks, and it was about a 45 minute drive. Denver is about an hour away.

We loved everything about this mountain home! Our overall first impression was this place is stunning….then after a day you really appreciate the details. The lighting fixtures, the quality of the windows, the placement of the master shower windows. I can’t remember the last time I had a sunrise in the shower! The landscaping was beautiful. The kitchen was so well stocked we just bought the basics, milk, orange juice, eggs, bacon, etc. The oven was wonderful the coffee/drink bar was fun. At night, the outside lighting was beautiful. Bailey was a great location for a home base. There are very comfortable swivel club type chairs in the living room. In the morning you can have a cup of coffee and swivel around to one of the huge windows and have an amazing view. Just a beautiful property that has thought of everything!!

This house and its surroundings was beautiful. Has all the amenities you would need. It was very spacious. We were blown away with every small detail. Great location, amazing mountain views, quiet and absolutely perfect for our Thanksgiving family get away. We played board games, put together puzzles, went snow sledding, and even played pool and ping pong in the garage. When we were ready for some relaxation, we soaked in the hot tub or snuggled in front of the fire and TV. Highly recommend. A shout to Jaron the owner. He was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. We plan to stay here again and perhaps can make it a yearly tradition for our family.

With breathtaking views and plenty of peace and quiet, you couldn't ask for a nicer stay for a mountain getaway than this. The house is clean and has everything you need to just relax, unwind and get away from it all. It's close enough to shopping and dining out, but secluded enough for solitude. The neighbors are quiet but friendly and if you're out for a stroll, be prepared to have an enjoyable chat with anyone you encounter. Before, during and after our stay, Jaron was very accommodating and responsive to whatever we needed and made the entire process seamless. There are a lot of choices when it comes to a rental, but here, you get peace of mind. Don't hesitate to book this stunning home. You will not be disappointed!

Home is gorgeous, incredibly well stocked kitchen, very nice furnishings, clean, quiet. Super nice for our extended family ranging in age from 2-85 years old. Beautiful views from every window. Fireplace and hot tub very nice on cold evenings. The only frustration for us was the limited amount of data usage available without incurring extra charges. With 6 adults , various tasks to do on the internet and no way to know how much usage there had been we were a bit stressed about that. Never had limited data usage at a vrbo before. Otherwise - just an incredibly great experience and home!

What a wonderful, restful, beautiful retreat! The home, amenities, and surroundings were everything and more than what was depicted on the website. The air was crisp, the view breathtaking, the energy palpable, and the wholeness of the entire package enveloped us in a true healing coccoon. We enjoyed a lovely snow-filled trip to Breckenridge, had a fabulous local masseuse come treat us with inhome massage by the fireplace, and treated ourselves to a gourmet lunch and wine tasting at the local winery - simply fabulous! I must also say how much we enjoyed being watched over by Sparky - what a delightful gentleman - he's a real jewel! Needless to say, I look forward to returning many many times in the future. Thanks so much for sharing your home and beautiful space with us!!

I cannot put in writing how unbelievably amazing the view was, especially the very first time we walked in the house and saw the view through the living room windows. The owner and property manager were extremely helpful and responsive. We have stayed at many homes via HomeAway and this by far was our favorite and most enjoyable. Words cannot describe the peacefulness and tranquility we experienced. The home had everything we ever needed to make our week-long stay perfect. On a side note, we saw more wild animals during our stay than we saw in all of our Yellowstone trip the previous year. We did do a lot of driving throughout the week because where the house was located, but they were all scenic and enjoyable drives. The mountain house seems a million miles away from the business of Denver traffic, but it is actually very close, which allowed us to spend an entire day in the city and return at a reasonable hour. I strongly recommend this house rental to anyone with or without kids. My kids especially enjoyed the hot tub, which overlooked the mountain scene. Thanks Jaron for allowing us to spend a week in your amazing house!

What a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful vacation. The house is amazing and really has everything you could need. Coming from Texas, arriving in Denver, and driving to the house was very easy. We stopped at the King Soopers and Biggie's Liquor store on our way. The views from the living room windows were awesome. My parents and siblings went white water rafting and ziplining with AVA one day and had a blast. My husband and I took a little drive to the Red Rocks Park (only about 40 mins away) and it was very cool to see. The pool table and ping pong table were a hit with my husband, dad, brother, and brother in-law. My 2 year old daughter really had a great time at the playground down the road. Pretty fancy playground for such a small little town. We grilled every night for dinner. Gas grill worked pretty well. The extra blow up mattress definetely came in handy for my daughter to sleep on. Plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. Anyone who is on the fence about reserving this house should not hesitate. I would recommend to anyone. Thanks to Jaron for sharing his house with our family!

Let me start off by saying WOW! This house was Amazing. Comfort was definately put in mind when making this house. It has everything you can think of. My family and I visited Colorado for the first time and had the most amazing vacation of our lives. The house is absolutely stunning. You don't want to ever leave Big Rock Mountain house because it is so beautiful. My family stayed seven days and could have stayed another week. There is so much to do or not to do. If you want to just relax then this is your place. If you want to go out and do stuff then this is also your place. The weather was beautiful. The scenary was breath taking. We saw 2 rainbows when we were out there. We took over 1000 pictures because everyday we saw something new. My family and I really had a chance to relax and enjoy ourselves. I hated to come back home. My family was already talking about coming back next year on the drive back home. I enjoyed seeing my teenage daughters speak about how much fun they had on a vacation. That is unusual for teenagers. We were very thankful that we were able to stay at such an amazing place. The owner definately had comfort in mind when building this home. I would recommend this home to any and everyone. Thank you again and see you next year.
