"We had a nice overnight stay. it was a halfway house between Cornwall and east Sussex. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was really good and well organised. The only issue we had was the curtains in our room (no.2) . They don't stretch all the way across, several hooks were missing and the middle bracket looked as if it was about to fall out the wall! We ended up holding it all together with pegs we'd travelled with Other than that all was good - a lovely old pub in a lovely part of England."

"From start to finish, absolutely incredible place to stay and eat. Everyone so lovely especially Sarah-Jane who took extra care to make sure we had a great stay and entertained our 2 year old. Making our 6 hour journey a breeze. Thank you everyone we can’t wait to come back!"

"Alan was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The bedrooms are gorgeous and beautifully decorated with lovely bathrooms. We’ve never seen such huge tvs and the outdoor space is perfect for socialising. We’ll definitely be back again!"

"Fantastic village to visit. The accommodation was just right. Nice quirky cottage with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The local people were pleasant and welcoming. There are plenty of walks in the immediate vicinity of the cottage. The silence really is golden. Will be returning"

"We went here for a short family break in February - my wife and two kids (7 and 3).The cottages are perfect in every way, and have everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Adele and Nigel are great hosts and also kindly put out a load of kids toys, booster seat and stairgate ahead of our arrival.The cottage was very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Being February the weather was not great (as expected), but the cottage was very cosy in the evenings with the log burner going.Having a good pub literally at the end of the back garden was also an extremely welcome benefit!We will certainly return if we're ever back in the area, and can highly recommend for families or couples alike."

"The cottage was lovely in an idyllic village, handy for the busses. The garden was a sun trap and was lovely to sit in but the grass needed cutting. We felt the bathroom needed some TLC but overall the perfect place for a holiday away from it all."
