"A really lovely gite in a lovely village, with a convenient garden attached with table, chairs and sun loungers in the afternoon shade. Gite conversion was fine, though some of the equipment was idiosyncratic, with microwave/grill but no oven. Only a two burner hob and unnecessary dishwasher (for 2 people?). 3 steak knives but no butter knives. The dining/living room cupboards were ancient and two of the doors fell off while we were there. We could only get one programme on the TV. Spacious...

"If a little piece of French countryside is what you are looking for then this is place is for you. We enjoyed our stay though did not utilize the property to its full potential. We used this as a base to visit the caves and tour the surrounding area. Unfortunately we did not have the time to just relax here. Next time. Jacqueline was awesome. We would recommend."

"True country side experiance in a beautiful landscape. Owned by a friendly family who also speak very good english, which for me without even basic french language skills is a big plus. Perfect place to slow down a little and relax off the grid or take a tour around the countryside with your car or on your bike with a mix of steep hills, wast valleys as well as some historical monuments like the Château de Hautefort in cycling distance."

"Property absolutely beautiful. We stayed for a month with friends and family. Everything you need for a self catering stay. Well thought out in everyway. Village in walking distance with a bakery and butchers. Market with local produce. Everybody so friendly in the local village. We tried talking some french which went down well! Supermarket 15 miles away with good selection. Lots to see and do around about. Will remember or French Getaway with fond memories."

"Le lieu est superbe , tranquillité ( 3 petite maison) , beauté du paysage , des jeux pour les enfants , un très grand terrain et une très belle piscine aménagée de transat et parasol. Nous avons passés une très belle semaine dans ce gîte. Avec visite le matin et détente l après midi et le soir. Nous recommandons fortement ."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the owners were very helpful. The house and gardens/grounds are beautiful, it had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped. The pool was excellent, there were plenty of chairs and sun loungers for everyone. The pool table/games room was a brilliant addition. We went on the VELO rail in the nearby Corgnac-sur-l'Isle which was great fun."

"Well-maintained cottage with a lovely heated swimming pool, and lots of outdoor space. Very comfortable inside. We enjoyed our short stay here - it is ideal for up to 4 people. The location is quiet and peaceful, and close to the pretty village of Segur le Chateau. Bernard is very welcoming."

"Tout d'abord j'aimerais remercier Sylvie pour son sympathique accueil et sa gentillesse. Son gite est en tout point parfait, en particulier pour une famille telle que la notre (6 adultes, 2 adolescents et 3 enfants). Les deux maisons (à louer ensemble ou indépendamment) sont pourvues de tout le confort que l'on peut souhaiter et que l'on regrette de quitter. Belle piscine que nous n'avons pas malheureusement pu utiliser du fait d'un temps maussade. La localisation en plein cœur du Périgord Noir...

"Our family of 4 (+dog) had a lovely couple of weeks in this beautiful & tranquil spot. Perfect pool and terrace for relaxing in the sun … and the surrounding area provides so much to see and do from markets to caves to castles to canoeing! Humphrey the spaniel loved his early morning walks right from our doorstep - with spectacular views of this glorious part of the Perigord! A wonderful stay, so thanks to Mathilde."
