"A one night stay on a roadie down the West Coast heading for the snow. We have stayed here before and frankly, wouldn't consider anywhere else. This time we had a miner's cottage (free upgrade!), it was warm and quirky which we love. Ate in the bar, a real kiwi pub experience and friendly locals. The area is very interesting"

"Beachfront Hotel is absolute beachfront. Walking distance to all amenities - cafes, restaurants, supermarket, beach walks. Terrific to have an on site laundry when you are travelling around New Zealand. Highy recommend this hotel."
