From the moment we arrived, Elizabeth and Selwyn made us feel genuinely welcome — their warmth, friendliness and attention to detail truly go above and beyond. The food was absolutely fabulous — beautifully prepared, delicious, and thoughtfully presented, making each meal feel like a real treat. The lodge itself is perfectly located, offering peace, comfort and stunning surroundings that make it incredibly hard to leave. We honestly wish we could have stayed longer. If you’re planning a visit, do yourself a favour and stay at least two nights — one simply isn’t enough to soak in the atmosphere, hospitality and magic of this special place. "A great spot to stay for a couple of nights. Our family of 4 had a relaxing break and enjoyed the added bonus of doing our own bonfire - with marshmallows and all - on the beach 2 minutes away from the cottage. Friendly hosts and good amenities. Recommended ! "

"We stayed at Hokitika’s Kiwi Holiday Park and Motels for one night and didn’t have much time to explore the area. The property is well maintained and offers all the key facilities you’d expect. Our room was comfortable, and everything worked well for a short stopover. A solid choice if you’re passing through."
