Our not so straightforward holiday.
We stayed at Leroy Suites during very stressful times and felt safe and very well looked after by the lovely staff. When things come back to normal we are very hopeful that we will get the opportunity to stay there again and would recommend the hotel to other travellers. We wish the Management and staff all the very best at this difficult time.

Nice facility, terrible service
One thing we feel we might mention regarding the LeRoy hotel is that the house keeping service has been terrible. For two days, we have not had any room service at all. We spoke with the man at the front desk and he apologized saying they were short of help, etc. etc. We arrived back to our room at 6 p.m. and no room service. I was annoyed. Our tiny garbage cans were full, floor still dirty, etc. So I did it myself, collected the garbage and went down and asked where the dumpster was located. Then I saw an open room near our room with cleaning supplies, got a vacuum and got the job done. We have been here for 9 days out of a 12-day reservation, and the floors have not been cleaned. We even left a note asking them to please vacuum. We did get them to change our sheets a day or two ago, at our request. The front desk attendant was very nice and apologetic. I find it strange that such a nice hotel would have such poor service. I would not recommend this place to others now.

The rooms were really nice. The only thing that kind of put me off was the outside where the buildings below havent been filled etc. Its not the hotels fault but just seemed a bit empty for the area. The hotel and staff were really great.

There is quite a bit of selection ranging from Japanese cuisine restaurant to Chinese barbeque, cafe, cake shop as well as a pizzeria. Apartment is new and modern with everything we need in the room. Quite a few eating places around if you like Asian food and Asian supermarket near by. No retail or shopping mall within walking distance.

Nice and tidy, no Netflix
Staff at reception were very friendly, room was very clean and tidy. Wi-Fi signal not very good, and there is no Netflix even though it´s advertised in the description of the rooms (there is a note saying you can use the smart tv to see Netflix only if you have your own account - but being the Wi-Fi signal so low, not possible even then).

We came to Auckland for the FIH ProLeague held at the National Hockey Centre. Leroy Suites Albany was the perfect location as it is located just down the road. Close to Albany and Takapuna.

The property itself was quite pleasant, and we liked the fact that both a kitchen and laundry were included. The staff was also superb, specifically the receptionist, general manager, and cleaning staff. Leroy's is also conveniently located next to local food hubs, a grocery store, and a coffee cafe / gas station. Unfortunately, the pool and gym left a lot to be desired-- both are shared with another property and both are in disrepair. Regardless of the pool and gym situation, I strongly recommend Leroy's.

There was no one on reception at check in and us and other people waiting and no reply on phone. When we came back that night we realised there were no curtains in the lounge area where our daughter was to sleep on a pullout and no linen on the pullout or available in the room and only 2 towels. Very difficult to get any help and manager said “it’s not his job and why didn’t I let him know earlier”. We had been out all day for Xmas day and I said I didn’t think it was my job to check for curtains and make up a bed and soured the linen. Room was small and cramped and only one remote for 2 heat pumps so had to get up and down in the night to get remote from other room. Disappointing stay for about $235 a night.

Great and brand new property only 15 minutes from downtown. Everything was sparkling new, super clean and with good service!

This has everything you need! The closeness to food is a slight letdown as the selection is not great, but if you have a vehicle then you can head to the bays and have some great food. Otherwise, absolutely perfect property! Will definitely stay here again

Great stay as always. Only thing to note was that the Wifi connection dropped out every 30mins or so.

Customer service was absolutely amazing. Stuff with very helpful and friendly. We booked the sweet to stay there on the night of our wedding. We were given a complimentary link checker as well as a small surprise in the room. I absolutely recommend this hotel. 1 improvement that would be helpful would be availability of restaurant facilities onsite. absolutely enjoyed our night and will definitely come back

Room was good and staff were pleasant, on the booking site it showed a pool and spa which is actually part of the body corp and in a separate building, when we went to check it out was not well kept and the spa cover was broken very poor state to say the least. The staff stated that they don't do the upkeep on it, in hindsight they should take it off as part of the amenitys.

The guy at check-in, Rakesh, was excellent. I was in a grumpy mood and upset about a few things with the booking, he handled the situation with professionalism and a smile on his face. Well done man! The hotel is in a good location, a 5 minute walk to Chinese supermarket, a 5 minute drive to Albany mega centre and close to the Uni The room was well equipped and being able to open the window was great There were 2 negatives... the plates, bowls etc hadn't been cleaned in my room, they were so dirty that I assume the cleaner complete forgot about cleaning them... and the card to my room had to be reset every time I went out and came back Overall I enjoyed it and would stay again for sure
